This happened to me. I was like "You realize this means I will never do this again."

She still kept going.

I loved my mother dearly, but I could never wrap my head around this behavior.

My dad never poopooed my chores except when I was a teenager and he gave me a hard deadline to mow the lawn by such and such date and such and such time and my procrastination led me to mow the lawn during inconvenient weather whereas if I did it more promptly, I would have gotten the lawn mowed with less effort.



Anyway, I was paid money for mowing the lawn and punished for not mowing the lawn. I was never punished or even scolded for mowing the lawn incorrectly.
