It didn't scare us, but it broke the tension. I had a Summer job at a camp, and we were kicking back watching Ghost in the Darkness one evening. We also had adopted a semi-feral kitten and it was in the room sleeping.

At the climax of Ghosts in the Darkness (which we were watching in the dark) a coworker blundered in unaware of what we were doing and asked loudly "Is the cat here?"

We all burst into laughter. The tension of the horror film was ruined.


If you did not get why this was funny, you probably never heard of the movie Ghosts in the Darkness. Ghosts in the Darkness is about two very intelligent man eating lions.
