This is really amazing

When Nagash put the final stone on the Great Black Pyramid, the energies of Shyish, released at once, propagated across the Mortal Realms, draining the life of billions of living creatures.

A shockwave of necromantic energy stroke at full power the sky-port of Barak-Zhufar… in a matter of seconds, the whole population turned from proud kharadron overlords into restless souls. Suddenly, the glittering metal of the sky ships grew old by centuries, and even the very essence of the aether-gold was corrupted… now the rusty sky-vessels are no more fueled by the pure, white energy, but their furnaces are constantly burning with green, cold fire, nearly identical to the unholy energies that give power to nighthaunts.

Their pride is lost, their code has vanished, the faith in Grungni disappeared… of their former life, only one thing remains. The Greed.

The Admiral is still the richest and strongest captain… but he hunt for aether-gold belongs to the past. The only prize that will be pillaged will be the souls of the living, that will burn and suffer for eternity, in the necrotic fires that fly the vessels.

I probably would have collected Chaos Dwarves if I didn't feel like it would be unfaithful to the originals.

(As a TK's collector it's definitely not because of the shortage of models that's stopped me!)

They have a diverse army and seemingly great possibilities for tactics which has always been my primary interest in the game. Just can't get past the feeling of betrayal... ;)

If you did choose Chaos Dwarfs, which company would you use, just out of interest?

Would you go with the cripplingly expensive Forge World ones, the budget Mantic ones, or somebody else?

Tbh, not sure. I'd make an army list and then work out the best middle-ground of miniatures I need versus price of models...

I'd end up with a mixture probably. I'm kind of a "stick with official GW miniatures" kind of a guy, but I know it's very limited for CD so...

Not sure... But most likely I'd have a majority of GW miniatures...

Although... Um... I did do some searching for CD models... Not to buy them! No! I'm a stalwartly true and loyal Dwarf! No traces of Chaos here!.... But I did want to see what was available and it was pretty empty in terms of GW stuff... so not sure how it would have ended up... :(
