Maybe the only good thing, from @NIGHTBRINGER 's perspective, would be new models to pick and convert to a true 8th ed. Chaos Dwarfs army.

Depends on the models. Although I really like a large number of AoS models, the post-WFB Chaos Dwarf model releases have been extremely underwhelming in my opinion...

There is no way I would add this type of aesthetic into my lovely Forge World range. That said, these are from Warcry so they might not be indicative of what we'd see in AoS. However, if the models do turn out to be great, then as @Killer Angel suggests, I'd be open to pick up a few for my 8th edition WFB army. I could use a second K'daai Destroyer!

I'm less concerned about the models than I am about the game mechanics and being able to use existing models. My Chaos Dwarf forces grew considerably over my Birthday and Christmas...

Thank you! I went with the human shields because I felt the dwarf ones were to small. I'm trying for a dwarf tunnel fighter look, kind of like the old ironbreakers and felt that the human shields worked better for it. I'm imagining them hunkering down behind their shield wall, letting the orcs, goblins, ratmen, and other hordes of foes bounce off them. Not sure if I got there, but that's what I was trying for.

I'm not concerned at all about the game mechanics of AoS as I have zero intentions to play it. My Chaos Dwarf army is pretty complete, but there could still be a few more holes to fill if GW releases some really nice sculpts.

I suspect that you are thinking of TOW. The Vince Venturella speculations provided by @Just A Skink are in regards to possible Chaos Dwarfs in AoS. Extending the conversation to TOW, I'm not overly concerned about it either, as I am very doubtful that I will abandon 8th for it. It's not completely impossible, but too many things have to go perfectly right for it to happen. That's just me though.

We'll see. I feel no pressure to change, since I'll still have my same playmates. As gone over separately, I would love this to be a rebirth of WHFBs. My philosophy is: Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Thankfully, the "worst" is just continue with my buddies, getting a game in once in a blue moon.

To quote Bogart: "We'll always have the 8th"
