The new animated Avatar movie and tv show have been pushed from fall 2025 to January 2026. If this leaked promo picture is accurate, I'm optimistic.

The movie is confirmed to feature adult versions of the Gaang.

The upcoming show which will be released at roughly the same time has little confirmed. Here what is known or leaked.
 
Here is a video of some theoretically confirmed information for the Avatar series. If this is true, it doesn't seem woke, or poorly written, or any number of Kiss of Death problems with entertainment IPs but I fear it has scale creep.

If you keep saving the world from bigger and bigger threats, it becomes harder to tell small-scale stories and some of the best moments in ATLA were Aang and his allies solving localized problems.
