AoS Points level for Battalions

Hey people just wondering at what points level do you start considering forming Battalions, in my area most gamers are not doing battalions until around 2500pts as they say its not worth the points.

What are your views on this and do we have any Battalions that are good at 2000pts or less....
 
I'd say all of ours are worth it well below 2k.

Especially notable IMO:
- Firelance. Now that we can teleport this is great for hit and run, deep striking archers, artillery or something.
- Shadowstrike. SO worth it. It was also worth it before but it got even better. You can play a powerful sniping list at 1.5k
- Eternal Starhost. In small games, especially against armies that don't have reliable mortal wounds output this is still a very powerful bataillon.

As for other armies:
- Ironjawz can take Ironfist. In fact they should. Works in a 1k game.
- Bonesplitterz: Kunnin Rukk _just_ works in 1k but it definitely works in 1.5k
- Sylvaneth: Several options. Household, Forest Folk, even Gnarlroot works in 1k although barely.
- Deathrattle: Legion of Death or Death Rattle Horde both work for 1.5k but they definitely work for 2k


...I think I'd even say there are not many bataillons I know that don't work at 2000. What kinds of armies are played in your area? If it is SCE I probably agree. But armies that rely on synergies make good use of those bataillons.

Hey man, I actually follow you because you always have something in-depth and insightful to say. There are some others here who likewise are warehouses of information about the best army in Warhammer. If you were to do a breakdown of all our battalions with situation applications etc. that would help a newb out like myself greatly.
