This list is about aoe dmg, just for fun, might be worth testing.

- Kroak
- Priest, scroll, ancient steg with eotg, sharpened horns, heavens
- same priest with cube
im taking stegs as mounts, because id like to spend my rare allowance on sallies
-4x10 skirmisher
-2x12 cohort,mus
- 3x10 cohort,mus
-18 strong tg bunker. they are just to fuction as bunker, i dont want them to fight.
-2x2 sallies

I know there is no bsb in the list.
The strategy: ill have kroak in the middle, the stegs will be 24" from one another, to cover large area for kroak spam. Ill split my chaff, and assign them to the stegs, 2-2 cohort and skirmisher to each, 1 cohort protects the tg bunker, and sallies will be placed between the stegs and kroak.

Any thought? Is it worth trying? I know high armor value will be an issue, but many wounds may result missed armor saves. And stegs will have demon prince duties, or at least theyll try their best. 2 priest will have heaven sig to silence artilery.

Whats the point of having 5 10 ish cohort. they are less moveble than skirmishers, and in combat they do nothing, only they are a bit cheaper?

against a cavalry army you don't have a chance i'm afraid, but against something else, well, maybe. I have never played kroak (i don't like special charaters) but on paper it sounds good

For fun i had took an flying skink priest.

Skink cohort is the second best unit after skirmishers, in my opinion. They are almost as mobile as the skirmishers, and cheaper, these feats makes them the best unit for my tactics. They are expandable, yet they can do some damage. You pointed out, in cc they are worthles. But they can shoot, redirect, hold area, etc. If im planning a frontal charge, I push one of these units in the face of my opponent, leaving him few options: he can charge my unit: ill sas, and prolly die, but the next turn my cowboy or steg will have a very good chance to make a succesfull charge. I place the charger unit 12,1" from the cohort, so my opponent wont be able to overrun into them, but ill have to roll 6 or 7 to reach him, wich is not so difficult. He can remain wherever he is: I charge him. Last one: choose to retreat: Ill move the cohort again, soften him in the shooting phase, repeat option 1 or 2.
So, yeah, they do pretty well. And what am I? Skinquisitor! Shall I take sauruses? Well, somedays, but I take cowboys only,they are badass

Other than this: I made a varriant of this army:
- removed one steg from the priest
- added tetto
- reorganiesd core to remain legal to the format (2 cohort gone, 1 cohort became larger to be bunker for tetto
- added a chief on bird as bsb, hell grant reroll where it needed, but he is not really killy(point reasons)

I'd say more temple guard, mostly because Kroak+Temple Guard is our best fighting block by far.

Id like to avoid cc if possible. I was thinking of having a 20 man block with razor standard, but couldnt find points for it. In the tetto list, i can give up on having a bsb, that would allow me a bigger tg unit.

As awesome Kroak spell is.

You have nothing to deal with 1+ AS. You need a Saurus Character there.

You will have troubles with WoC, DE, HE, Empire if they play the current meta. And those are the most played armies.

Im well aware that my Achillles heel is 1+ armor. Id like to compensate this wich a lots of hits, statistically you will roll one 1 in 6 rolls at least If i manage to place my steg in the middle of the opponents army, on an average magic phase, ill open the stargate once, and cast kroaks spell 3 times. Half of my spells will be dispelled, leaving hopefully 3-4d6 s4 hit on every unit in 12" of the steg. Sallies can finish big blocks, skirimishers can take down big targets

I noticed the if there but even then what is your plan with tetto'eko in this list? He is very powerful in the form of the rerolls in magic phase and vanguard but I feel that other than that he is a bit useless since your gameplan is obviously spam with Kroak. So maybe you could be better of trading him to a cowboy?

Might be a bit of a stretch since the troglodons are arguably to weakest choice in our book but have you considered if one of those could work in this kind of build?

Other then this, the terror he brings is provided by the steg too. True he brings a lot of versatility to magic phase which is good. Well the rule actually states that you must reroll 1's when casting (or 6's) but I guess that's still a bonus.

On a slightly off topic side note I just had a mind blown moment as I just realized the spell and the slann ability have the same name. Not that it's a new thing as I remember that earlier there were some special rules that were named the same in BRB and some army book that I cannot remember (maybe it was the old DE hydra) but had different effect.

i dont think so: this spell allows you the ones when you roll TO hit, not the number of hits.
