8th Ed. Opinions on this possible army lists (1500 points)

Hello everyone, I can't make up my mind on what to buy to complete my army and reach 1500 points, I had a couple of ideas and would like to hear your thoughts about it, right now I have:

X1 Bastiladon
X15 Saurus Guards
X1 Saurus Eternity Warden
X1 Skink starpriest
For a total of 750 points.

One of my ideas was to take:

X1 Lord Kroak
X1 Stegadon (Probably with skink chief)
X2 Salamanders hunting packs

The other idea was to cut out the skink starpriest and take:

1X Skink Oracle on troglodon
1X Slann Starmaster
1X Salamander Hunting Pack
1X Stegadon (with the skink chief probably)

In both cases I would reach either 1470 or 1500 exactly but I have no idea if it would be a decent army or not, with that said I'm also open to other ideas if you happen to have some.

(Also i have no idea if or when they will change the seraphon points, if you know something about that too I'd be happy to hear it)

I have a bad feeling that this isn’t 8th edition, but on the off-chance that it is then I would say get some Skinks and a Stegadon.

The Skink Skirmishers are fantastic (with javelins) for harrying light infantry or fast cavalry, hunting high toughness models (my favourite memory is one unit of 10 killing a giant in one shooting phase), war machines, redirecting chargers, etc.

The Stegadon is possibly my favourite monster. Especially the Ancient Steg.

Taken with the default giant blowpipes you get a good chaff killing option (14 poisoned shots per turn on average with the two spare crew members throwing javelins), a S6 T6 3+ save, D6+1 impact hits and Thunderstomp. Blam.

Putting the Skink Chief on top is a bit pointless in my opinion, as he can be attacked directly in combat and will die immediately.

Thanks for your opinion but where can I find the difference between 8th and the others? Cause at this point I don't think this post is for 8th
