Hello all! I've made a post in the Introduction section.
But essentially my gaming group in Sydney, Australia was based primarily around Horus Heresy narrative events. Over the years we've branched out a bit into Adeptus Titanicus and dabbled with Necromunda.
But over the last year many of us have started collecting 8th edition armies. We had a small series of relaxed events with 1000, 1600, 2000, and 2400 point games. I've enjoyed building up my lizards so much I now consider it my primary focus. And I never even played 8th until 2021!
Here's a sneak peek at my army- the council of characters leading my 1600 point force:

@shattershell I'd like to add you to our roster of Knights. Please take a look at the first post and tell me where I should fit you in.
I'd say these days my main game is 8th. I also collect Horus Heresy and Necromunda stuff. But they're on the back burner while I focus on LIZARDS.
I dropped out of the hobby for a bit in 2018-2019, but I've picked it back up since the pandemic hit. And I have been playing 8th edition exclusively.
I'm glad you enjoyed it... it was a NIGHTBRINGER original!Oh man… you got me with this one. Genuine laugh out loud.
And she plays Warhammer... so prophecy fulfilled? (from a certain point of view)Too bad I’m married already…

um. you do know that cap wins that fight yes? considering you like Fantasy much more than AoS you should probably swap them

I did think of it. However, keep in mind that:
So I think the meme works as is. AoS "won", but WFB is the correct system (proven by Total War Warhammer's popularity) and in the end, they bring back WFB in the form of ToW to save the day!
- Stark was outnumbered 2 to 1
- Stark actually had the battle won, but refused to kill Cap, which gave Cap the chance to turn the tide
- by the end of phase 3 (Infinity War and Endgame) it turns out that Stark was right and Cap was wrong. They then needed Stark to save the day!
Stark was proven overall to be correct by the end of Infinity War and the start of End Game. And then it was Stark who was most responsible for fixing things (creation of time travel and the climactic snap). Cap helped, no doubt, but Stark was easily the more valuable team member. To be fair, both were right on certain points, and both were wrong on other ones.
