Help Not so new to this. ;b

Thank you @tom ndege for the encouragement!

I going to make some greenstuff scales next. I want the base to be waterlike, so I may have to purchase some Woodland scenics. I also made a green stuff mold of a leaf (not a real leaf), and I plan to put more than a few of those to work.

I have put in the order for a set of Vellejo paints:). Sixteen high quality paints coming my way.

On another note, I am running low on funds:confused:. It is odd to listen to y'all talk about spending hundreds of dollars on miniatures.

I am getting desperate for funds. At this rate, I may need to ask @NIGHTBRINGER to show me the tricks of the trade.1-19.jpeg

Are you buying all new? Most of my collection is rescues from ebay, and it significantly cuts down on costs. You just have to be willing to put in the elbow grease to fix them.

The miniatures I got on amazon for about 68 bucks.

I finished a Chaos spawn (it is 1/72 scale, and doesn't fit in with GW minis. It does however fit in with my Zvezda.)
The spawn seems like a servant of Tzeech/Slaanesh

Thoughts and criticism?

Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Is there a head? Tail? Which way is it facing?
I can appreciate trying to save money, but I think this one needs a little explanation. I hate sounding discouraging but with a little more work, I think you can make great strides with this Spawn! :)

It is a worm bursting from the ground. I got the idea from the king Kong movies. So the end coming from the ground is the head. The four bloody "flaps" if you will, are mandibles.

Also, on another note, isn't the point of a chaos spawn to be confusing?

I am now going to start work on the giant toilet he will ride on.

*The good neat colours on each section

*The bad paint is too thick clogging detail

*The ugly the gritty finish will show up when you drybrush.

I approve. :vulcan:

Thoughts&Criticism? Especially from @Warden, who has done this before.

I like your terrain pieces and the Troglodon. If he isn't glued down yet I would consider scooting him forward on the base a bit and adding the tail (you can stick it on a tiny piece of clay if you want, that is what I did). Maybe carve out some scales too? I also used clay when I made the body, I was able to carve out the scales with a simple metal sculpt tool.

I also would check out @Crowsfoot 's start collecting thread too, it has a ton of ideas.

I actually like him without the tail. If I add the tail, he will seem really short. (It also makes it look like he broke his spine) If I leave it off however, and if I put the sail further back a little, he will seem MASSIVE!

Also, I put him further back on the base because I didn't want the tongue sticking way out away from the base.

Edit: I will however move him forward a little.

In case you haven't worked with colors in dropper bottles like those before:
Remember to shake them VERY well. Literally minutes. And strongly.
You don't have to do that every time, but certainly if you didn't use them for a longer time or if they are new.
I even bought a cheap nail laquer shaker for that. :D
