So as the title says I'm new to AoS and wanted to give it a shot. There is a tournament coming up in my area figured it was as good a time as any. Want to a competitive list, I'm gearing towards a more defensive list at the moment. This list is heavily based off of a tutorial in a thread on here, don't recall which.
What I came up with:
Lords-
Slann(260)
Eternity Warden(140)
Astrolith Bearer(160)
Skink Priest(100) w/ priestly trappings
star priest(100)
starseer(160)
Core-
5 Gurad x 2(200)
10 Guard x 1(200)
Bastilidon with Solar Engine x 2(600)
Eternal star host(80)- +1 save for guard and d3 wounds instead of 1, awesome.
This army seems to synergize really well though I'm concerned I don't have enough models on the table to be able to last.
My plan was to keep a fairly tight cohesive unit to maximize the buffs from the characters and use the skinks and bastilidons to screen the core of guard from ranged attack.
What do y'all think? Any comments, tips, suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Edit- added point values. Thought I read somewhere we weren't supposed to do that though everyone appears to be
