I've had a long time love affair with the lizardmen story for the last 11+ years but sadly have never played any warhammer. finally with age of sigmar and some other interested friends we are getting into the game! I was hoping to get some opinions on a 1000pt starter army, Im thinking later on i would like to do a thunder quake host for 2000+pt. my friends play storm cast and sylvaneth. we will be playing with points but not looking to do tournaments of anything, just have fun! here's the list

2x5 Sarus guard (200 total)
Bastilidon (300)
my basic idea was slann for support and to control engine (and I love slann so very much) engine for some cool effects like damage at long range and healing. 2 Saarus guard for protecting slann or eotg (I believe eotg counts as a hero?) and Bastilidon for that great tanky ranged damage.
