AoS NEW *rumor*

buuuut if you do what you did below and put in Halo Fanvideo (be fair bud use the same serches)
Made a typo in my post here, in all cases I just searched for the name of the thing. E.g. "Harry potter" "warhammer" and "Halo". I never included fanvideo.

Kind of suprised you got such different results for warhammer though. Cuz for warhammer my results were mostly the rather fancy videos from astartes and such first, then some battlereports and only a handfull of official videos (mostly videogame stuff, basicly no GW stuff at all). And memes also being quite rare.

Whereas for everything else the top listings are dominated by the official product, then you get secondary commercial productions (videogames, the occasional SNL sketch, journalism/reviews from professionals etc.) and gameplay videos (if applicable), and only then did I start to really see any fanmade stuff, which usually starts with memes or very derivative work like top 10 lists, as opposed to something actually original.

I would've expected that the results would've been more similar with a "fresh" incognito browser.

Also I'm not saying we're necesarly special. Just significantly easier to find. And I can imagine that that scared the hell out of GW lawyers when they finally decided they should probably have a look at the state of the unofficial "competition" posed by fans for warhammer+. If astartes had been hidden under 200 videos of space marines playing the saxophone they'd probably not have made quite such a harsh statement.

For example if I try to find something like red v.s. blue just by looking for "halo" in google it's the 65th hit. All the "fanmade" stuff you find before this consists of gameplay footage of someone playing the game (which really isn't what we're looking for with respect to fanmade stuff here). There's also a whole lot of official trailers and a warhammer fanvideo for some reason that are listed before you get to a red v.s. blue video.

If you do the same for harry potter then the first fanmade thing you'l find is a meme, and most of the hits are again official releases.

On the other hand if I search for warhammer fanvideo I get hits like "Astartes all parts", "guardsman", and "lord inquistor." in the top 6 or 7 hits.

Warhammer is the only fandom I know of where its this easy to find the high quality stuff, it shows up just by looking for the general term.
I presume this is taking into account that Google's search engine is optimized to give you results that its underlying algorithm determines you may like based on your previous searches and general browser history? Just about everyone here is likely going to get the popular Warhammer videos within the first 10 hits on a Google keyword search, as would a Halo-ite for their respective vids.

Hence why I used an incognito browser, without logging into youtube, on my work laptop where I don't use youtube to have it be as "fresh" a search as possible. Which gives the same results whenever I switch computers (the benefit of having several old computers :P)

I'm assuming @Erta Wanderer also used as "fresh" a setup as possible.

incognito browser doesn't completely erase past searches. i wiped my internet history.

I mean, they look cool and all. Like these a lot better than the two big ones that are far too human.

But 1) Can they please for the love of god include at least 1 seraphon unit in all this. Given the extend to which seraphon are involved in basicly saving the entire species of dragons from extinction not giving us anything is just kind of insulting.

and 2) How many mounts to the SCE need? They already had Stardrakes, Dracolines, Dracoths, Gryph Chargers & Tauralons. And all of these serve as monstrous cavarly, with multiple of them even being behemoths and able to fly. What exactly is going to be new here rules-wise? What is the niche for these new mounts?

exactly this!

What is the niche for these new mounts?

Dudes on dragons!

1) 100% agree with this. Least this provides another opportunity for us to kitbash/convert some of the models and put some saurus or something on them to serve as proxies

2) So I was checking the SCE range a few days and noticed the stardrakes, dracolines & dracoths are "No Longer Available" on the US Store, along with the Soul Wars ETB kits (Astreia & ballista) and evocators were also NLA. I could see these possibly replacing the dracoth, but what's more likely happening is these kits are being repackaged for 3.0 much like they did with 9e-40k.

That's just the usual nonsense their webstore goes through constantly when things are sold out or when they have some minor hiccup in the supply line. Go to other regions and you'l see they're still available or simply sold out.

I very much prefer the new dragons over the old Warhammer ones which just had too weird proportions for me. Too snake-like with necks that didn't look like they could support the heads.

...but does it have to be SCE and only SCE riding them? I would have preferred them without any riders and compatible with multiple armies. Such as ours.

Well I for one do not think that Dragons can be part of the Seraphon/Lizardmen army (unless allied)
But I can see a Chaos Warrior or Witch Elf on top of one (Scratch/leave off all the armour and it would be enough)

So taking a Knight-Draconis as General unlocks Stormdrakes as battleline...

I can't quite tell if the Stormdrakes are going to come in twos like Dracoths, or if they're a single-model dual-kit (i.e. build either a Stormdrake or Knight-Draconis) with a lot of options for customization.

Their base looks similar in size to the dracoths, they also don't look particularly massive compared to the SCE. So I'm guessing they come in 2's.

meh, I just hope they got something else to back up that tail attack. Otherwise you'l end up in the same awkward position Kroak is in where you're an absolutly amazing horde killer, but useless in a duel.

The special spell is neat though, choices are good.

Given spells as "Da Black Pit", it seems that anti-horde abilities are becoming kinda common.
If this wasn't already clear, GW has decided that this edition is not made for hordes.

Which is odd though, given that hordes themselves aren't common anymore. And abilities like this aren't exactly brilliant against MSU stuff.

At least both of this is consistently anti-horde :p
