they increased the cost of Dreadscythe Harridans?
They'd better improve the warscroll, because at 70 pts they were already underwhelming. :meh:
maybe cuz of the bonusses they get in the new subfaction as the mortarch personal retainers? Similar to how some of our stuff is kinda overpriced in coalesced cuz it's really good in starborne?

Some Kroak ideas...
What if Kroak had a flexible number of unbinding attempts based on the total number of casts from the opponent? Basically, he can attempt to unbind every casting attempted by the opposing side.
What if he just knows all of the Malign Sorcery endless spells and can switch between them as desired (like Slann do with spells now)?
What if dispelling a spell doesn't cost him a spell?
What if he can somehow attempt to unbind (or dispel) prayers, especially Chaos prayers?

Updated warscrolls

Harridans do indeed get some upgrades.

Be'lakor has a rather decent melee profile, lotsa rend, curious what the rest of his warscroll will be.

And again absolutely nothing on our stuff in that book, further indicating our update in this book is borderline irrelevant and Kroak is going to get his own update.

.
um yay? they just made the bravery requirement a 7 instead of a 6 not a big change and then they made 2 hits on a 6 instead of 2 damage on6 thats not enough of a improvement to justify it going up 20 points

Now they cost more than units that are amply stronger than them.
If i think that only 2 days ago i put my hands on 10 of them and i was happy because "surely they are going to be better"... yeah, better in collecting dust. :banghead:

Is it me or is Be'lakor a bit underwhelming? 380 points, 14 wounds, 4+, etheral, is a bit tanky but this guy is huge. A single unit of 40 skinks and a star priest can mulch this guy. A few Terradons and a chief and his head will be like Wild E Coyote with all the rock drops. Lumineth will love mortaling this guy from afar.

Or maybe I'm too used to see broken warscrolls?

never said it was a big upgrade, just an upgrade :p

They can also bring multiple crones, which is another small damage upgrade.

But yeah, not super exciting just something.

The powercreep in AoS is rather absurd. 14 wounds with 4+ ethereal really shouldn't be as easy to kill as it is in AoS....

no thats just bad over all. it means you have to do 24 damage to him not at all hard to do, it;s one of the many reasons i don't evne consider most monster unless they have or can get a 3+ save or better and it's been that way for as long as 2.o has been out. i mean it's just a thunder lizard carnasuar with a ethereal amulet and no scaly skin

I don't think it is. It's just 1 additional attack on a unit of 10 models

let's try some brutal math.

10 new Harridans (180 pts)
A unit does 32 attacks.
you successfully hit 16 times, but on average five rolls will be 6s, so 16+5 = 21 attacks = 14 successful wounds with rend -1
Against save 3+, it means 7 wounds

The old version. (140 pts)
31 attacks, let's say 15 hits so around 10 successful wounds, with at least 2 attacks that threaten 2 dam with rend -1.
Against save 3+, it means 6 wounds

40 pts increase for 1 additional damage?

of course, there are many factors that need to be considered, but overall there's nothing that can remotely justify the points increase for a unit that was already far from great.

I'm kind of glad we're not getting any warscroll updates with this book. I agree it sounds like whenever Lord Kroak comes out we will be getting a much bigger update.

and a slightly better -1 to hit buff that still wount efect 70%of the game. maybe they drasticaly improved their melee prophile?

o I agree, it doesn't seem worth it. Not unless there's some hidden synergy in that subfaction. But at the very least they did get some upgrades, minor as they might be.

What do you think? Found on the net

Someone needs to give the photographer a smack because the cock tease the damage value by only showing the D.

I was talking about this on the discord and my thoughts are.. it depends on the damage. If it's D6 mortals instead of D3, it could be used for sure. The free item is nice and the potential to nuke a hero (for d6) is nice, even if you have to miss out on damage from the basti & steg roll.

On the flip side, you can't use your basti/steg for a shooting phase, it's once per turn, and 2+ makes it (slightly) risky.

If it's d3 mortals, not worth the points imo.
