AoS NEW *rumor*

A resculpt of the Red Terror finally? That's exciting as someone who like Ravenors, but could never see a reason to really include them over Genestealers....

If RT buffs them better than now, or they get different sheets, they might be interesting to bring.... that also brings up the previous 'tail' rumor engine, which could possibly be a new dual kit with Shrikes and Ravenors. (Ravenors are plastic, but they look a smidge dated compared to the warrior kit).
 
April’s white dwarf is going to feature the “battle of Tepok’s eye” which sounds pretty seraphon-y, maybe their part of broken realms? Maybe something out of broken realms: belakor?

I kind of hope Seraphon are in that one just because it’d be too juicy not to reference the rock drop meme somehow

could be underworlds related as well.
 
i dont play underworlds. i was gonna buy these for aos. now i wont buy them at all. good going gw.

only thing i can see them being useful for is if you wanted to run a sunclaw shadowstrike double battalion list. oldblood on foot, skink priest and min unit of skinks is 290. so you are saving 65 points on 3 of your requirements. the ambush seems interesting but a 90 pt skink unit does it better.

who know maybe they are going to nerf us all to hell with pt increases and 225 will be a steal.
 
Not surprised at the underwhelming warscrolls. The Underworlds & Warcry warscrolls for AoS tend to be very meh. I'll be buying these guys just to add as alphas into my army and support more Seraphon models.

I really wish GW wouldn't be afraid to split these guys up into their own individual hero warscrolls instead of forcing you to take the whole box as a group.
 
At the very least it gives Coalesced a deepstrike ability, so it's not entirely useless. The Skinks and Chameleon Skink aren't going to do anything, but I could see some strategic play with throwing the Oldblood at an enemy while the rest of them grab an objective. And given how important teleporting and deepstriking is for the game, I could seem them being picked in Coalesced lists sometimes.
 
soooo it's a normal priest with a gimped oldblood that can deep strike.... not sure why i was exited with GWs track record but there you go.
why can't the old blood use his command ability? they can already act independently so why the heck is he not just a oldblood?
and even then why would you want both skink and saurus support since this is just 2 of our heroes stapled together but worse?
wait why does the old blood have a worse save?!?
why is this unit 225? there are no other units with a 5 in the ones category you will always have a 5 points left over
why is this warscroll worse then the sum of it's parts?!?
 
I guess the priest's ability in a thunder lizards list would allow a bastilladon to move and shoot/charge, then shoot a second time, once per turn? Probably not worth the points for that specific combo, but i can see it having some uses

normal skink priests already let you do that
