Do we know if dread saurian was canned?
he was never in the seraphon book. he's in the monster book. He was not going to be updated with the new book.

Okay? I was talking about the Stegadons Helmet
I mentioned command trait because it's part of the rule in the Stegadon warscrollSeeing as you mentioned command traits, and the list in question was a Thunder Lizard list, I assumed that was the trait you were referring to?

1300 points to get on average 14 points per turn? Lol it’s sad how bad our summoning is nowCan anyone confirm how generating Celestial Conjuration Points works?
I think that that each Slann or Troglodon can generate CCP? If so, I want to try a list a Slann and 4x Troglodon generating 7d3 CCP per turn.
Huh, interesting... I'd think the clarification there is just for the main rules, since ordinarily, giving the stegadon the hero keyword would make the stegadon the hero and not the rider, so everything would affect the mount. The intent is pretty obvious though, just poor wording by GW as usual. They should have just said "the stegadon and its crew are considered a mount for the skink chief for the purposes of artefacts and command traits", or something of the like.Actually now that I'm looking at it, RAW the Thunder Lizard command trait would not work on the Stegadon since he specifically has a rule that says it can't effect the mount.
The slann/Troglodon has to be the general to generate points. You can also sacrifice the first spell from each slann/skink wizard for an additional d3, so most efficient for max CCP would be a Slann and 5 starpriests for 7d3 per turn for 860 points, but I don't think that's worth it. Spells are good, so IMO, summoning is kind of pointless now. It's not completely worthless, but I wouldn't bother with it unless spells are out of range. Can anyone confirm how generating Celestial Conjuration Points works?

Oof, I never noticed that. I hope it's FAQ'd favorably - a boosted Steg Chief was looking really killy.I mentioned command trait because it's part of the rule in the Stegadon warscroll

That'll probably require an errata.
That's probably what it should say but also maybe it's intentional? Until they errata it, RAW it doesn't workHuh, interesting... They're doing other stuff besides generating CCP you know1300 points to get on average 14 points per turn? Lol it’s sad how bad our summoning is now
Just make a carnosaur the general. It still gets all the benefits from the sub-faction, and extra jaw attacks are pretty good. That's probably what it should say but also maybe it's intentional? Until they errata it, RAW it doesn't work![]()
Yeah definitely a strong trait for a CarnosaurJust make a carnosaur the general. It still gets all the benefits from the sub-faction, and extra jaw attacks are pretty good.
Interestingly, the artefact also doesn't work for the Engine of the Gods, because the engine of the gods is the hero and it doesn't have a mount... So yeah, needs clarification. The intent is clear, but worded badly enough that you can't use it with anything except a Carnosaur atm.
You mixed it up there Slann or Starseer as General and Slann and Troglodon for spell burningThe slann/Troglodon has to be the general to generate points. Whoops. You're right. yeah, summoning is basically dead. You mixed it up there Slann or Starseer as General and Slann and Troglodon for spell burning
Yes, there's no requirement for a Slann to use "Lords of Space and Time" anymore.Another question that was asked a lot before :
With that new book, can we use "Lord of space and time" without a slann on the table ?
It it does that is gonna be amazing. Terradons seems like the new strikers of the army. DT or FoS might be the way to go. And from the sounds of summoning you might be just as well off with a Skink Starseer and Trog as your are with a Slann.
I hope they areYou don't think that Saurus could be potentially competitive? I see options to build a usable list with them.
100% this. I don’t think warriors can do enough to stand on their own. Not sure guard can either. Will have to play some games to figure it out though. My main issue with saurus list right now is that they rely entirely too much on synergy, once a couple heros die (which is very possible depending on the faction you face) you basically lose because suddenly that large unit of warriors is no longer getting the buffs they need to deal with other armies. Especially now because of how CP heavy everything is now.
Bounding has the advantage they can't immeadiatly summon a new one, so it still has some use, even if it's limited.Unlikely. If they are not affected by them RAW then this doesn't work. And it is better just to dispel it, than intercept, I guess.
People seem to be very uncertain how summoning is supposed to work now. Various sources saying different things... it's quite annoying. Hopefully they release a F.A.Q. or people finally get it right once they have the actual book themselves. Hell, people can't even seem to agree on which units can even sacrifice spells...So I'm pretty sure you get conjunction points for spells for "each" Slann or Oracle not just only the general.
Not sure if anyone spotted it
