AoS NEW *rumor*

So the question is, how many can we field?

Probably 1 but those rules are in the battletome itself. I believe it will say in the army allegiance that we can take X amount of Ziggurats and how we can place them

The warscroll shows what they do. Little surprised it doesn't have the rules for garrisons on it considering how much free space it has on the warscroll

So the zigguarts warscroll is available via the preorders on the new Zealand website. Nothing else on it but garrison and it's mortal wounds ability. Considering you need a priest or Slann inside to operate the mortal wounds I'm thinking it's going to live closer to our side of the board then not. That is if you want to start taking advantage of the mortal wounds as soon as possible.

Could also be used near an objective or center of the board as a stronghold which you can threaten other near by parts of the board from.

I'm guessing placing it will require it to be far enough away that units inside cannot hold objectives but I hope I am wrong.

Anyone know if you can leave and charge a garrison in the same turn? If so giving a unit waiting inside 3d6 to their charge would be a good way to keep them safe untill they want to go out and fight
As a note it only says Wizard or Priest must be garrisoning it. which gives us 6 models to use with this model: kroak, starmaster, skink priest, starpriest, starseer, and oracle. as far as leaving and charging i believe you can. leaving the garrison counts as your move however.

Salamanders seem to be really good.
They reduced their damage from D6 to D3 but quadrupled their attacks from 1 to 4.
Their melee attacks are much better now, too. They're going to be great with a Skink Priest to give them run/shoot/charge and +1 hit (both melee and missile!)

I feel so smug now (played Rippers only once, I am a Terradon fan). :D

The other thing I noticed is that we suddenly can use all those command points we have. Many of our heroes previously had either a crap commsnd ability or none at all.

So far I see several play styles possible, we are definitely no one trick pony.
Saurus, Skinks, Monsters, magic. I already have a number of lists in mind that I can try with the stuff I have. Probably not like those @LizardWizard will come up with, but sounds like we can actually hit things now in different ways.

Things I am sad about:
- summoning reduced to (relatively weak it seems so far) utility.
- Basti not as tanky anymore
- Skinks: wary fighters gone and Boltspitters+Shields doesn't exist anymore.

But let's not forget:
- Skink chiefs are back!
- we did not lose models!

No feeling like this! Scaring the shit out of me in the middle of the night, trying to catch up on the added messages, telling me boltspitters+shields are not an option. Looking at the warscroll for 10 minutes contemplating. But good hopes, like other people already said: it is there! Skinks with a 5+ save! Love it
