Very true. It is just hard to be no withing 36 most of the time. So we can reliably get near table wide 50% chances of mw out. And if like you said we aim closer pretty much guaranteed.

Wow as awesome as this sounds, I have been called a sook because 'supposedly' I am whinging even before the books is released....
My opinion on this.

Starting from scratch: $600 aussie bucks..

6 Steg kits
1 Basti.

and good luck getting that many stegs ordered.. considering they're usually out of stock

Sure most people have a few already.. but wow that's a big point investment for "A" list that there could be a possibility that in a few months not worth running and you have a shelf of 'identical' models sitting there gathering dust.

I like options.. variety.. I don't mind doubling up on some models.. units like skinks.. guards etc is okay.. but 6 Stegs!?
I just feel like they're dangling this cool list to distract us from what's to come - yes I am a pessimist :/

They haven't shown us any of our core models.. like Skinks, Guards, Sallys/Razor/Terras/Basti/Carno.. etc..

Tomorrow is Saturday for me.. got to remember that GW release an a specific date.. regardless of time zone. Hence why New Zealand, get pre-orders , updates on website and warscrolls before everyone else.
 
Uhm unless some absolutely crazy warscroll buffs happen, and several insane synergies are hidden in the battletome, the Stegadon list is already not worth running. So don't sweat it.

Much ado about nothing. Getting more pissed every time I think about it.

Actually had my hopes up for a minute because I love the model.

Haven't been successfully trolled on the interwebs for a loooong time: 8.5/10, but not falling for their community team again.

Then do you think it means that there isn't much on offer for other units in the book?
If they're trying to sell us this *amazing* all monster Steg. list just to keep us content for next few days?

Personally I'm very new to the game so my opinions can be easy off.

I think Slann will be good. They are Slann after all. I imagine the other units might something like S2D. All good, but nothing that shines too much. Like always it will be our Allegiance abilities that carry us and not the units themselves.

I made a few comments to my mates regarding this release and all they're saying is that Seraphon players are a bunch of whingers... never happy.
These a Gitz and Skaven players... factions that received dice/terrain/cards/books/Endless spells and some new models.. Skaven got the bombadier.. Gitz got same as above with a Loonboss, Gobbapalooza and I can go on..
Oh did I mention Shadspire warbands which can be used in AoS?

Newest thing we got was a BloodBowl team which you have to kit bash to make it work in AoS.. and to actually make a Saurus unit... you will be using a lot of $$$

This 'previews' a list that you might play for the lolz.. but unless you're a fully dedicated Lizard player.. you won't see this list hit the table very often.. it is not very common to have that many Stegs!

You will collect that many Stegs.... but once you decide to try something different you'll have a shelf of dinos that won't be used as much.. that's a lot of $$$ just sitting there.

But yeah guess I (we?) are the whingers.. I am bitter - that's for sure'.

I will hold out until I see the full rules.. but right now.. this is just smoke and mirrors.

It's just a fun, interesting build they wanted to showcase that you couldnt do before.

Then summon in another and try again.

although in all seriousness you have to be smart with carnosaurs. what you want to do is ensure a first strike with them and that they are not in combat with a huge blob of enemies
