AoS NEW *rumor*

The idea of having an entire Stegadon list is fun, but I do think this whole idea of making massive monsters battleline is a bit OP ever since it started with Gristlegore FEC, especially for factions that can’t access this.

However, given that Sons of Behemat are rumoured and may well rely upon this mechanic, perhaps this is GW’s way of giving other armies some counters to them in preparation

Also from what I can see they don’t have that many with English translations, and some of those that are are not updated with the most recent Battletomes.

However, if they did sort that out they would be a great alternative to the GW ones - free and unlimited stock. Good find! :)

Wouldn't be surprised if they got a cease and desist letter from GW, since they are using copy righted rules material to create their product.

Random thought: So with the previews having focused on the stega-pede, the new jungle ziggurat, and some of the new allegiance/subfaction rules, there hasn't been too much focus on many of our other units. What's one unit that hasn't been mention you suspect will turn out to be a new standout/must-have in each army?

Personally, I'm hoping it's kroxigors. I feel these guys haven't gotten much love in a verrrrrrry long time lol. Because of this (and the price/kit), I feel most people don't have any so it would be fun to see more of them being used. My first choice is of course saurus, but we got some rules/stats for them even if it was minimal. Got nothing for the kroxes though.
Starseers or maybe Lord Kroak. I also am hoping Kroxigor end up very enticing. Also won't be surprised if Terradons are the new Ripperdactyls. MWs in the current meta are very important. And I doubt Ripperdactyls will be as good with the almost certain loss of Shadowstrike Starhost.

That's not going to be the case with about 92.7% certainty :p
I thnk the Slann and Kroak are being kept hush hush and will be bombs. they already are removing the constellations from slann, and his spell has to change cuz we aren't daemons anymore. they gave Kroaks second spell to the oracle....
Yeah they are going to either be amazing or worthless, but they will not be the same

im leaning towards amazing

I am pretty optimistic about the book.

There is already enough to know that we can do some pretty good MW from a long ways off. Any terrain under 36" away and has units within 3" has a 4+ per unit to deal d3 MWs. the Trog now has Comet's Call (plus pretty easy access to +2 casting if the Sage's Staff remains the same). Dracothions Tail looks fantastic. So there is at least a lot to work with already. Warscrolls and battalions will either make or break us.

I was referring to the Stegadon prediction.

Slann & Kroak becoming really bomb would certainly be nice, but on the flipside that would mean I would need to finally buy at least one of those resin monstrosities :p

I see a means of buffing the number of attacks for Skink units. If the Skink club profile is improved sufficiently, maybe we finally have a reason to run melee Skinks. Just give us a spell lore to add rend and my dreams of Skink-based melee meat-grinder lists might be realised.

They took a page for LegendTotalWar's youtube channel... new AoS meta = Doomstacks. with healing crystals and all.

That would be very fun. Might have to dust off Tehenhauin and make him my skink priest leading a horde of Clubed skinks in the Fangs of Sotek!

Yep would be dope too. But let's face it, we should put away the exotic jungle plants we are smoking ;)

Also, got reminded by the Sons of Behemat mention, that they will obviously have an objective-grabbing mechanic just like Ogors, making the Stegadon deal that much sweeter

2+ if the terrain feature is within (not wholly) 18" means you need some central placement, but VERY reliable d3 a turn.
