AoS NEW *rumor*

I suspect this will be the case! I imagine the Slann or one of our lore spells, for example, may have a 'while garrisoned in a realmshaper engine' rule. It may even be that some sub-factions (terraformer-focussed coalesced?) have add-on rules, to make it d6, for example.

Best to avoid disappointment and accept that it's 'ok' and be pleasantly surprised.

If they had revealed anything that had us all unanimously jumping for joy at how strong it is, you know we'd just be hit with an urgent FAQ like the tomes before us...
meh, my issue with it isn't that it's weak. It's that it's just not terribly interesting unless you're specifically fighting something like Sylvaneth. D3 damage isn't super original and terrain isn't common enough to really go "haha, I now control a massive chunk of the board". I mean, yeah it's nice that you can deny the wizard acces to that 1 arcane terrain. But unless it's sylvaneth that's about the complete extend of it... If this is all it'd be a massive waste of potential.

I FREAKING LOVE IT!

Not only how it looks, but also the rules.Even this is “all” it does!

I even think it should not do more or it would be to overpowered. It is perfectly balanced!

The mortal wound output is very balanced. Often it is not the average damage what make something good. But the fact that your opponent has to take it into account when setting up and hiding heroes or placing them in cover. Combine it with the Troglodon spell and they need to account they can catch 6mw to a support heroe if not placed well. So effectively they need to avoid terrain if they dont want to take the risk. Furthermore, it is ANY unit within 3”. So you can target multiple units
Im not sure if you can also target the temple itself, but I think so. That would def be a very good defensive ability. MW on a 2+!

But the best ability is the garrison! Just much benefits!
