AoS NEW *rumor*

If you did that for the moon hammer, the drakebite maul would need a big rework or else the hammer becomes the obvious choice. I see where you're coming from. Though. Single target vs horde target kroxogors.
I think he meant combining both weapons into one, so you could chose to strike like either

In the Warhammer Total War 2 there is a range of kroxigors armed with combat gloves that attack with force that I think would be very interesting to have an extra option of kroxigors. Maybe they look at the game and we can choose between two types of kroxigors in the future.

It depends, the few games I have played the Moon Hammer wasn't really an option. Against elite armies it kinda sucks, at least in my games it really underperformed.

It has the exact same attack profile, but moonhammer gets -1 rend and hits #of models vs 4 attacka from maul. The maul would need a rework imo.

Yeah that's what I mean, if you can't get more than 4 models in range of the Moon Hammer it is not really great, or am I missing something?

I would give the maul 3+ 3+. Vs a lot of armies, hammer is going to superior, especially with the rend.

The rend is really the only thing I like about it. But I should add that all my experience with Kroxigor was against the Bonereapers with their 3+ rerollable saves, so that -1 rend or Sweeping Blows against their low model count didn't really impress me. Maybe against Gloomspite Gitz or other armies with units that have bad save characteristics and huge blobs of models it would've made more of an impression on me.

At my local shop I have only faced horde armies, so hammer would be most useful.. damn dirty rats

I did mean to make them part of the same weapon, and if you're doing that, of course they're being adjusted.
Drakebites would hit harder, more easilyand with better rend, while the moonhanmer profile would have -1 rend, lessee damage, but a greater potential in amount of attacks because it's meant for horde clearing.

Never said the profile would be left the same.... Its pretty bad at the moment as a whole.

Just looking at the Kharadron update, it seems the new sub-factions can really expand battleline options. Couple that with the suspicion that we may lose old-saurus and maybe even saurus knights, and we're likely to get some new options in the new book. I wondered what people thought would be likely?

I can imagine Terradons and Rippers being core for one sub-faction; possibly some big dinos (Stegadons only?) for another...

A skink subfaction focused on terradons, rippers as the main forces, backed up by stegadons & bastiladons as the large monsters on regular skinks for the numbers. Could work I guess.

They could even rerelease the Skink Chiefs and Prophet to go along with it. They could also bring back a hero skink on a Terradon, who's be perfect for making Terradons and Rippers battleline.

All this mention of a skink force and no talk of our boy troglodon!?!?

I could absolutely see the troglodon being classed as a hero and making the flyers battleline. A fast scout group?

That said, I’m going to keep holding out hope for a new flying skunk hero. Ideally on a behemoth flyer, but I’d also settle for replacing our 2D feathered cloak.;)
