AoS NEW *rumor*

I missed that info, too.

Darn. We're just getting a saurus hero on foot for which we already have a plastic model (the Oldblood). Maybe it could be used as a Sunblood if it has a cool shield. A skink model that could proxy for a Starpriest (already plastic), a Priest (resin), or possibly a Starseer (resin) using some extra parts. The chameleon could be the alpha for a chamo unit. Then we'll get some more skinks that might get used as alphas or stegadon heroes.

I know I shouldn't focus on AoS only, because I'm sure fans of Underworlds, and Lizards, are happy about it. I just keep telling myself that at least we're getting some models.

We might get lucky and have the warband's AoS warscroll be good enough to be worth using as-is? Knowing the underworld warscroll track record, probably not, but at least it might be fun to play around with listbuilding or something.

The skink in charge being referred to in singular They in the new corebook is pretty interesting too, with what it implies about Skinks in the mortal realms having actual gender (which i guess makes sense, they're a lot more social and integrated into free cities society than before). It might just be awkward wording, but one of the Kurinothi is explicitly the same, and AoS in general features a few characters with that sort of pronouns going on so it's not outlandish

Lizard men have always deflated to he when referred to in the singular, most references to our old world named heroes call them he so i wouldn't read to much into it

Yeah, going back to the Warhammer community post “they” Is definitely intentionally used as the pronouns for this skink priest, but I definitely don’t think skink gender is going to be explored much in fiction or anything. It just gives a lot of interesting stuff to think about!

Given that there's already been precedence in the lore for Lizardmen/Seraphon to be genderless for about as long as there have been references to spawning pools, it strikes me as odd that the use of a gender-neutral pronoun set would be seen as a big deal to begin with.

Underworld band was announced to be released on February. But it was before delay announcements. So, March, I believe.

We've had a lot of hammerhal heralds in the past 12 months, with some hinting at a Lizard v DoK rivalry. Would be neat to see some lizards in Broken Realms.
To be honest, a box introducing a new DoK cavalry versus new seraphon knights led by a starseer would be quite neat. Plus, it'd make sense from the lore, Morathi should've been annihilated from orbit by the Slann the moment she started screwing with Slaanesh's bindings.

If there was a box I'd probably buy two lol.

So it's a starpriest and not a starseer. Makes me hopefull that hammerhald was somehting else, but I doubt I should be that optimistic.

Also, looks like the next warband is finally going to show us the undead-ish stuff with the rapiers they've been teasing for so long.

It also looks a little elvish. But vampires have pointy ears in Warhammer, right?
