AoS New Player looking for list advice!

Hello fellow lizards! I am new to AoS and played a demo game a week ago and decided I want to play Seraphon.
The local game shop is going to be starting an escalation league that will go from 1k, 1.5k, to 2k points. I know I probably won't be winning many games but I want to join to learn the game and get some experience. And mainly to have fun!

I was lucky to have been able to grab the following kits:
  • 2 Start Collecting (I have seen the guide here and plan to make the Astrolith Bearer and Scar Vet on Cold One)
  • Skink Starpriest
  • 2 Boxes of Skinks (20 have been built with blowpipes so far)
  • Thunderbeast Host box (nothing built, but would like to magnetize the Stegadons)
I was thinking for 1k to build the Firelance Starhost but looking for input.

I rather enjoy Shadowstrike Starhost with Ripperdactyls for 1k. If you can swing the RIpperdactyls and Skinks then I highly recommend it!

I am curious what thoughts are on bringing a Trogoldon (and I would add another unit of 10 skinks) versus taking a Stegadon
