AoS New player in need of help!

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a bundle of eBay as the start of my army. It was essentially the Thunderbeast Host box set as well as the Start Collecting box set. Since then I've bought another Start Collecting box, a box of warriors and an extra box of Ripperdactyl.

So I currently have a Carnosaur, two sprues to make more Carnosaurs or two Troglodons or a mixture, a Stegadon with the Skystreak bow, a sprue to make another Stegadon or Engine of the Gods, 6 ripperdactyl, 44 warriors and 16 knights.

What would be the best thing to do with the sprues? I assume I'm looking at an offensive army with the lack of temple guard etc?

Just looking for general help as a noob.

I would make the second Carno and 1 Troglodon. If you plan on buying a slann, engine, of not go with the steg, or magnetize it so you can switch it up. This should also allow you an oldblood on foot and an extra iracle that could be a skink starpriest . Make one of your Knights stand out so it is a scar-vet on cold one, You should be able to make a bloodclaw starhost this way. you won't be disappointed.

Great! That is exactly what I was thinking, just a few small questions

The Carnosaur I have is currently an Old blood, so shall I make the second a scar veteran?

Still torn on a Slann though, I'm unsure how awesome they are but i've read good things. Would that mean I need to invest in Temple Guard to protect him? Can he survive on his own at the back? Or is it worth leaving him out and concentrating on the blood claw starhost/melee style offensive army?

The slann is an expensive model but very usable. I would pick one up just to give you the options on playstyles. Without guard he he can still last the entire game, you nust need to think about movement a little more.
Definitely the second carno should be a scar-vet. The command ability and the options for firelance and blooeclaw open up.
