8th Ed. New Lizardman army book and info

does anyone want to hazard any guesses as to what miniatures from the lizardmen range will go oop in the new edition? aside from any rule changes etc. just purely from a collectors point of view.

a lot of people seem to think terradons, i reckon chameleon skink miniatures will go to make way for a plastic kit, since considering people dont buy the existing models in favour of converting cheaper alternatives GW are missing out on some cash there.

any thoughts on hunting pack minis? (salamanders & razordons). wouldnt like these to go as i like the models but im wondering is it likely?

I would love Carnosaur calvary, considering I just got beat to death by skullcrushers it would be nice to have something similar.
 
I'd rather see Skinks on Cavalry again! But it will probably be Saurus on something bigger than Cold Ones...
 
I'd just be happy to see appropriately priced chaacters, and hope they don't ruin things completely.

It'd be great to see Skink Chiefs become cheaper and more useful. Perhaps in less of a strength/combat role, and more of "supporting skinks so they're not pansies" role.

A special character of a skink chief and kroxigor super-buddy-duo would be cool!

i heard some rumours about a new lizardmen race, maybe similar in some ways to chameleons, and about Nakai and sacred spawnings (again :rolleyes: )
what do you think about it?

Hey all you knowledgeable folks out there! I had a quick question. At what point do we get some real info on what is happening for August? By this I guess I mean, what is the point of no return for when we can absolutely get real info? I mean, at some point soon independent retailers must get a heads up as to what products they are getting for the sake of placing orders and what not, right? Are we looking at the last week of July? Second last? Are we pooched until the first week of August itself? What is the basic trend?

Thats a lot of question marks haha. Thanks a lot for what I am sure will be enlightening answers.
 
Official word (from GW) would generally be the weekend before the end of the month, so the 26th or 27th depending on which time zone you're in. "Leaked" info can show up at anytime between now and the end of the month. Retailers should have their stock lists set by now (though I'm not a retailer so can't be 100% certain on that), but I would assume they are under an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) until GW lets the cat out of the bag.
 
As a retailer, we often get info about the same time as you do. Most leaked info is out WAY before we get our sell sheets. I am eagerly checking all the sites...same as anyone else.
 
i keep reading that we get carnasaur cav because we ndont have mosterous cav but are terradons not MC it says thats there unit type in the back of the rule book?

any thoughts
 
Terradons are Monstrous Cavalry by troop type but not by spirit. Too squishy and weak. People want Mournfang Cavalry or Demigryphs.
