If an army has the tools to take down one Stegadon, they have the tools to deal with three.
I concur. While a Wood elf army might have the tools to bring down 1 stegadon (with great effort). 3 Is just too much. They will evade it, absolutely, but I doubt if they can bring down all 3 (or even 2) of them.
Brettonians don't really like large monsters, at least not in great amounts (3 Stegadons!), as do wood elves, High elves (to some extent) and other.
An empire army with 2 great cannons will have the time of his life though...

You really have not much to deal with opponents redircters/artillery/skirmisher. Two units of skinks just do not cut it.
Agreed. You need chameleons, terradons, Salamanders, (I'd doubt if I ever were going to say this, but

A flying skink chief or even magic.
You don't have any of those...

And the Stegadons will end up ahead of the Saurus unless you move them less and this just gives your opponent more time to deal with them.
Agreed. IMO, you need to go all-out when having a true CC list; that means no slow foot-sloggers.
Skrox fit better in this list (though not strictly better), and DO add additional support units.
Consider adding a BSB too, because stegadons+BSB is a very potent combination.
In short: Your stegadons need help!
