8th Ed. Need help making 3000 point tournament list

I have an upcoming tournament next month and it allows end times characters and units (but not the magic). So i decided iwanted to make a lizardmen list that no one else would play for sure. I want to field two carnosaurs to go along with 2 ancient stegs, 2 bastilidons, and 2 ripper units of 3 each. The idea of this list is to just terrify the oponent with all the dinosaurs on the field.

However i have never used my carnosaur before and i'm unsure the most effective way to do it. Could use some advice on carnsosaur builds for both a scar vet and an oldblood.

also taking two level two skink priests

For core i'm gonna do skink unit with 3 kroxigor, 30 saurus spears, and 2 units of skink skirmishers

I am running a similar list at 2500 points (1 carno, 2 stegs, 1 bastilladon). It is all fun and games until you make a small mistake, then it is all over.

A word on the bastilladons, if you are running solar engines remember the effects do not stack. If your opponent only has 1 caster, during your magic phase, throw 1 dice at each beam right off the bat. You can bait out 2 dice from your opponent which betters your PD/DD ratio. Very best cases they let the beams go through, or even better they lose concentration when trying to dispel with one dice. If they have two casters, it is not nearly as great of a strategy.

I always take bloodroar on the carno, but I am not convinced it is a good idea. Anything that would be deemed a good target for a carno is either stubborn or causes terror . However, it could be great for pushing away re-director chaff.
