Sorry you didn't place better. What was the silly factor that lost if for you?I attended! Played for the win game 5 and unfortunately lost on something kinda silly so dropped down to 6th. Great event, 2 seraphon players went 4-1.

Top table against KO game five. I thought I was pretty clear about the intention of my slann being out of LOS so he couldn't get alphaed and gave away first because of it. He informed me he could see my slann and then when I said okay then I'll take top he told me I already gave it away. Live and learn.
Thats bad sportsmanship on his part. Spoken intent trumps all. Sorry that happened to you. Great job!
Fair enough. But I agree with @Jason839, that it was rather unsportsmanlike.Haha I would tend to agree but he was within his right to do that. Just not the way I like to play the game.
I'm curious about the Slave to Darkness vs Slaves to Darkness matchup. Because I know the conventional wisdom is that Archaon should be in the army but I know a few StD players who just don't want to put Archaon in their army.

What kind of list did you run?
Correct! Anthony's second list was an archaon list and he wanted to get it out of the way early. He played his 6 varanguard kotet list in the rest of the games. That was my friends round 1 match up. He was not running archaon, instead had x3 units of empty throne knight dudes. The other army had Archaon I believe
Cool list, so you were pretty happy with it overall then? It's a shame you lost to a "gotcha". Tom seems like he would be that kind of player based on things he says on the Warhammer Weekly show. What did you say to notify him you wanted your slann out of line of sight?Nashcon is a unique two list event. My preferred list and the list I ran in all my wins is below. Only thing I'd change would be to change Curse for heal, I think Curse is trash. Just too low range and you never get it off. Might also drop shackles for something else, not sure what yet. Possibly split one of the sallies into two singles.

I'm curious how a two list event works. How different do the lists have to be?
