AoS My Take on Seraphon, Battalions are crucial.

This is true but a 1000 point game Shadowstrike is powerful but costly , do I want to spend 600 points to take out a Lord Celestant on Dracoth or would a 260 point Scarvet on Carny be better?

Good point about the points of the game, that's another factor.

Regarding the Lord Celestant...
Eh, at low points I tend to avoid high-cost units. Yeah, they are powerful, and hand-to-hand they'll rule the game, playing with such few points... but playing with objectives can leave you with few "resources" against a more flexible or numerous army.
But your opponent must know what must be done... otherwise the Big Bad Guy (or the Big Good Guy, in this case ;)) will win the battle by itself.

Playing without objectives atm so there is always a big guy involved.

I've found that my opponents are more concerned with deep striking skinks running amok in their backfield more than they are the big lizard that they can see in front of them. Fear of the unknown I guess.
