Hey once I finish up my seraphon collection I plan to get another army. My current thoughts were either kharadron overlords or idoneth deepkin also ironwood arsenal looks cool. I wanted to know which of these are any good and if so what is the price range I should expect. I also would be receptive to other ideas because I would also like to get a cheap army. Please give me some ideas of cheap armies to get into. Lol money is tight so the cheaper the better.

I would pass on Kharadron Overlords. They are pretty aweful atm.

Idoneth are one of the top if not the top army for Order Factions. Going Akhelian focused would be my advice. The eels are OP.

Ironweld Arsenal is more of a support army. Generally you see people play Grand Alliance Order or Freeguilds and bring IR for support. However, Freeguilds themselves are pretty solid right now.

Ogres are pretty a cheap and decently killy. You also only have to paint about 20 or fewer models for an Ironguts list, unless you decided to take Gnoblars (ironguts grots). Grots under the buff of an Ogre Tyrant do make for an amusing tarpit though.

Slaves to Darkness have a fantastic Start Collecting Box. Two of their SC boxes and then any other Chaos SC box is a decent start to a Chaos army. You will end up with a potentially superfluous Chaos Sorcerer Lord, normally one is enough.

Thee SC boxes of Beastclaw Raiders and you have your army. They a solid mid tier faction. They tend to either murder everything on the table or lose to the objective game though. Normally I don't enjoy my games vs them regardless of winning or losing.

You could build a pretty decent death army with the SC Box for Skeletal Hordes and Deathrattle Barrowlords box. But be prepared to buy many Skeletons... and paint them.

I will probably go deepkin then lol. My friend told me they weren’t that good lol turns out he was wrong. What is a build I should do for deepkin. That way I know what to buy. Also do they work well with seraphon?

Going fast attack is the best method. Like 9 or more of the combat Eel riders. Sadly you are better off avoiding the Eidolons. Leviadons can be worth it if you want more of defensive kick. Either Volturnos or just a generic Akhelian King are your best generals. Revears are okay and Narmati thralls are a solid battleline as well, but eels are the main show. Turn three they should rip apart most enemy opposition. I don't own any Idoneth. However, I do play against them at tournaments all the time. They pretty much always make the top tables. Learning how to play around the tide table is crucial to their success.

Do you know of a specific build? If so I would be very grateful.

Fu'than is the best of their allegiances. Currently the Warscroll builder appears to be down. I can post a list of what I would include later though. I don't know their points well enough off the top of my head to build one without the app. And I am way too lazy to keep flipping through the GHB2018. lol.

I would run something like this:

Allegiance: Idoneth Deepkin
- Enclave: Fuethan

LEADERS:
Vulturnos, High King of the Deep
(280)
- General
Isharann Tidecaster (100)
- Lore of the Deeps : Steed of Tides
Isharann Soulscryer (100)

UNITS:
6 x Akhelian Morrsarr Guard (320)
6 x Akhelian Morrsarr Guard (320)
3 x Akhelian Ishlaen Guard (140)
30 x Namarti Thralls (360)

BEHEMOTHS:
Akhelian Leviadon
(380)

TOTAL: 2000/2000

Place both the Morrsarr Guard and the Soulscryer into reserve. Turn three deploy them to strike at the flanks of the enemy. Use the Ishlaen to screen forward for your army while keeping in range of the Leviadon to gain +1 save that is unrendable to soak all the shooting from enemy armies. Teleport the Namarti via Steed of Tides as needed to secure objectives and prepare for your all important turn three.

Ty for that build also could you make me a 1k point build. That way I can get the 1k build first then slowly add up to 2k

Just keep in mind that Idoneth isa new army, so no chances to find a cheap used one on ebay, and the current prices for the models are pretty high.

Something else worth consideration is that only the SCE are alliable with Seraphon. And the new Sacrosanct Chamber units are pretty cheap due to the abundance of Soulwars boxes.

Idoneth are a great choice though. They tempt me daily. LoL

That's trueif you want to play an army that can be allied to Seraphon.
But if someone wants to taste something different, then SCE is not the way to go. ;)

Oh for sure, It is easier to start a new army when you can build off an existing one though. I strongly support him going Deepkin:D

Very informative, thank you!
Sometimes Nurgle Sylvaneth or Nighthaunt (or even something from destruction) tempt me, bud everything seems rather expensive.

Lol yeah I plan to go idoneth as my second army. Lol unfortunately there are like zero deals on eBay because they are new. Does anyone have a 1k point build for idoneth? That will be my first goal.

Allegiance: Idoneth Deepkin
- Enclave: Fuethan

Leaders
Akhelian King (240)
- General

Battleline
6 x Akhelian Ishlaen Guard(280)
6 x Akhelian Ishlaen Guard(280)
3 x Akhelian Morrsarr Guard(160)

Total: 960 / 2000
Extra Command Points: 20
Allies: 0 / 400
Wounds: 67
Would this work? (I didn’t put in any artefacts yet)

Well I will slowly but surely try and find some deals to snag for them lol. Though while I’m doing that I will also try to build of my seraphon.
