I am new to Warhammer and have made up this list. Feedback appreciated

I strongly suggest getting Focus of Mystery on the toad, +1 Dice per spell is nice but not if you roll 2-3 bad spells and en up with casting 1-2 spells per phase, having access to all spells is a huuuge advantage. Imo its better to have the priest on an engine and skip the chief but if you like the warspear go for it. You might want to upgrade it to ancient tho, S6 impact hits is much better than S5. I also dont see the scar-vet contributing anything to the list, he doesnt hit all that hard, he isnt fast, he doesnt have magical attacks.... give him jag charm or a different kit imo.

Saurus looks good, the skrox unit is imo better at small sizes (like 11+krox för a 3x5 formation), they are fragile so keep them cheap. You can get 2 11+1 skrox units for the cost of your current one (222 vs 114x2). No skink skirmishers !? Skinks are absolutly vital in the lizardmen list and I can't see a list working properly without 1-3 units of skink skirmshers.

Solid choices. Kroxigor doesnt need a champion, 20 pts for 1 extra attack is idioticly overpriced. The TG unit is a little small, it can't really take any punishment as it is now. 16 is the ideal size imo. Whats Charm of Tepok?

Looks like a pretty good list, very magic heavy. It really needs some harassers tho, skink skirmishers, cammo skinks or sallies should be a high priority.
 
i never noticed this topic before, its from before i joined
scar vet: either jag charm (he gets to fly and kill things) or venom of the firefly frog (poison and magical attacks so he can handle ethereal units)
skink chief: LA and shield are useless since he can't improve his stegadon save
skink priest: eotg is nice, otherwise the plaque tepok is good but either give him the cloak of feathers (so he can fly, make him safer and also better for channeling) or the hroned one (its cool to model, less effective than the cloak but gives him a 5+ armor save, the cloak is still better)
saurus: the streght of the saurus lies in their spears, i suggest finding the points for them, also you can drop 1 saurus from the unit the scar vet will going to be in if eh doesn't fly away. command for saurus is good but unless you have a character in the unit the champion is not worth his points, i suggest removing it from 1 of the units (or both if the scar vet has the kaguar charm
skinks: allready covered, i don't like skrox but i doo agree that skirmishers are mandatory, at least a unit of 10 if not 2
TG: the unit is a bit small but thats not really of any concern, they are there to take a charge and survive for another unit to flank what they get charge by. instead of the charm (wich is nice) you could go for the sword of hornet so your champ gets a few hits before the TG get hit or the blood statuete of spite to possibly kill an enemy mage ( a bound spell on a champion is quite a big surprise if you are playing with closed lists)
kroxigors: he ancient is a waste of points, that many points for +1 attack are just not worth it, if you drop him you could use them for the disciple on the slaan or spears or.... you get the point
 
I'll reiterate: Skink Skirmishers.

Just two units of ten can fire 40 shots that auto-hit on sixes. That's nearly 7 hits on average per volley. This is an absolutely ferocious assault on anything with high toughness, multiple wounds and little to no armor. Giants absolutely wither under this sort of attack. I have opponents now who waste time getting into close combat with these throw away units because they are so frightened of their shooting!

This seems to be pretty solid list but IMHO perhaps a little points heavy on characters. But it is really player dependant. I would likely drop the chief on ancient steg and instead upgrade my priest with an EotG (you would have to drop is cloak of feathers). You get a bit more magic umpf and some protection for your priest.

I would definately drop the champion in your second unit of saurus. Champs without characters in them are pretty useless IMO since your paying waaay to much for just one additional attack. The rest of your selections look good though!

Excellent choices. The bound item in your TG unit will definately give your opponent something to blink about. Just try to keep a streight face up until the time you deploy your secret squirrel weapon of mass destruction! :D

While I agree 12 pts for 1 attack is steep, I often switch my characters around to where they are needed, especially my scar vets. Doesnt hurt to have some challange protection in every reg imo. Also, champion is onlu +1 atks, but something kills 5-6 saurus but forgets to target the champ or just doesnt kill him off which means +3 attacks rather than 1, which can easily be worth 1-2 CR. Agree with everything else you said tho.

the only tid bit of advice i can give is to switch the BSB from the scar vet to the slann. the scar can get killed being in the front row and slann in second row so it would be better protected since CC cant attack slann. otherwise everything else looks good!
 
true, but the slaan could also die and will be worth more points than he allready is, splitting up VP's in the army is usually good to make your oponent decide for one or split forces, both wich increase the victory chances
 
I decided not to change the BSB to the slann

other than that is the list good

I'm going to be playing high elves and Warriors of chaos

Correct me if im wrong but your points for skink on EoTG is wrong.

It should be 405 by my count i dont have my book with me and havnt collected LM very long but i think thats right.

Otherwise i like your list.
