7th Ed. More Skinks or Saurus?

I'm going to start Lizardmen soon and I'm going to start with a box of either either Saurus Warriors or Skinks, but I don't know which to get. Can someone give me some advice? I do plan to get a battalion later.

I was thinking that a box of skinks first would get me 36 Skinks once I get the battalion(which seems like a pretty good number IMHO) or a box of Saurus would get me 36 Saurus(allowing me to field 2 3x6 blocks).

You can't really go wrong with skinks, they're just plain awesome in my opinion.

Mmm as much as I dislike the single-pose skink models and love saurus, you most certainly can field an effective army without saurus but it is very very rare to see a list without skinks. So if you don't know how your army is going to eventually turn out, go for skinks to start with.

Both are a great option though and you will eventually end up with more of both of them most likely. Remember, spears for the saurus.
