7th Ed. Model in White Dwarf with the big round stone-looking banner

Hey guys - who's that model I see ranked in with the Saurus in some of the photos of the latest white dwarf? He has a bit round banner that looks like it's made of stone. Looks awesome. Wondering if/when he's available.

Thats looks like a battle standard to me.
 
It is apparently a new BSB model that comes out later in February, looks very cool IMO. I don't know why GW haven't seemed to have advertised him more, he looks great. He should be out when the new battleforce comes out.
 
I agree with strewart: The best battlestandard I've seen in a long time, maybe even the best! I don't think I will use a battlestandard without fielding a slann, but the model would be worth the investment anyway :)
 
Seeing how he has the same underbite snarl as my puppy he has to go in. And his name will be Gizmo. And i agree he is imposing as all hell. And his weapon is awesome.
 
In case you guys haven't seen him, here is a larger picture I lifted from the marketing brief pdf.

It says he should come out on the 7th with the majority of things, but he isn't on the UK, US or Aus GW website, nor is he on Maelstrom, the webstore I use... I wonder if there may have been a problem with his mold?


Edit: Just looked further down the document, he is marked with a star 'to be available in store on the weekend of the release'. Nuts, I really hope they don't make him limited edition, he doesn't even have a product code, though he is priced as being in band D.
 
When I saw him I thought the head looked a little mal sculpted but seeing a painted model it looks a little better. I love the banner just because you can now see it from space. I wonder if I could just get the top to add to my Slann's chair.
 
according to a post on the pyramid vault, this dude, and all bar a few pre order chakax figures, are delayed for a while - the moulds were damaged and they're having to remake them.
 
I don't know about Chakax, but it is confirmed by GW that the BSB model has been scrapped for now. Apparently at the last minute they decided his banner was too heavy and impractical, so they are going to change it. It might not be as cool if it is smaller, but we will see what they do I guess. It is a shame, even with the weight I would have bought him. Easy enough to weigh down the base.

There's something wise and old about his face like hes an elderly saurus (i know there's no such thing but .... :D )
 
Too bad he's going to be redone. I see this guy and immediately think of a conversion mounting the BSB on a stegadon....
