7th Ed. Mark of Tepok

Does anyone else really miss this or is it just me?. I really miss being able to take an army of just saurus and saurus characters and still have the dispel dice to take on hardcore magic armies. Come to think of it I miss all the Sacred Marks anyone else with me on this one?

i came in only in 7ed so i dont now any marks do they work like WoC marks?

kinda, there where a bunch of different spawings youcould give to saurus wariors,
you could give a unit up to 2 spawings, but they went up a slot for each spawing, (Core, special, rare)
and of course you pad a flat price to add a spawing to a unit.
Scarvets and Old blood could take some extra ones not available to regular troops.
also there was the sacred host list where your whole army would be born under the same spawing,
this also effected skinks and the skink priest got to uses different lores of magic depending on the spawning,

I agree! That was one of my biggest complaints about going to the new book... I loved the spawnings and the sacred hosts... I always chose the spawning of Quetzl to give everybody in the army better armor saves. Oh well, they made some good changes in this book and there's always gonna be stuff that comes and goes... But I do miss the spawnings!

This makes me glad I started lizardmen in 7th edition. I don't miss the spawning's cause I never played with them. If I had then it would have sucked to lose them as they seem really cool.

while they were cool, they were a bit annoying to use, as it turned your saurus warriors special/rare. and made them pretty fricking expensive!

there were certainly some nice boosts for characters available though.

Yeah!

I really loved Scared Spawning. Most of all Quetzl on mi Scar-Vet!
That and Kroxigors numbing down really makes me miss the old Lizards.
and thats why i'm kinda dredding 8th Edition!
As GW does seem a little obsessed with changing things at the moment!
