Index Lustriapedia, a fluff resource for readers and writers alike

Hey @StegadonSheperd, I actually reckon the story inspiration starts from inside, but having a reference like this gives a head start for anyone who wants to fill their tale with some local Lustrian colour. Usually red, spilled from the veins of our weakling foes.

I hope you take that inspiration - we have a lot of folks on site who have gone from zero to author in the last year or two, and there is room for at least one more.

You could start with a fluff background for your "thundering herd throughout sacred Lustria, seeking others to add to their cause, and to crush the hordes of enemies." They sound a lot more beast oriented and back to basics than our usual bunch of starry eyed mystics.

Bob mentioned making an index of others artwork, sort of like a Itza Gallery of Fine Arts but for drawings. Is this something we could add to the Lustriapedia or should there be a separate index for it?

Hunting for all of Bobs work would take ages. Maybe even aegis.

That wasn't what I meant. I mean one Itza Style thread for Stegs, one for slann, one for Culchans (the sauric ace)

No WIP, no story, no comp. Just a place for people to show their art, receive praise and learn from other's techniques.

Where to put it?
? Fluff: Art is happening in fluff forum already. Fluff creativity and pencil and paper creativity are more related that miniature painting creativity. Fluff readers and writers morph into fluff artists and vice versa.
? Painting and Converting Forum: It is painting sort of. But completely different. pencil art would be swamped over there. But it is a logical fit.

Dilemmasaurus!

If no better suggestion from mods, I will launch "Stegadon Art" in the Fluff forum in a few days (exactly using the words the Red Devil puts in the Itza threads). Once there are a couple of threads going, perhaps @Scalenex would be kind enough to index them here.

The Bob Aegis is a little problem I have. Please don't stare.

Did I misplace that thread..?

No indeed - I love those cute fishies!

That can be the "new species / new units" art thread if you don't mind having others tack on some more images, or you could use it to launch a new art thread (in the format we end up with) and have the fishies as the first image - forever.

All the Artzifartzis are in the Lustriapedia now.

Artzifartzis are now all have links in the top page. New ones will continue to be added as long as they aren't blank, so an Art thread requesting say Salamanders that has no Salamander pictures will not make it in.

Added a bit to the Lustriapedia with only minimal prompting from Bob. Added Bob's Halloween comic and his short story. Fixed a broken link to @Hyperborean's art, added an art link for the work of @Infinity Turtle. Added in @Tlac'Natai the Observer recent piece.

It's up to the community to let Scalenex know what is missing or incorrect on the Lustriapedia if he doesn't notice it himself.

So daemons still wrecked it. Yawn.
If apostrophes had brought it crashing down that might provoke some interest.
I didn't pay much attention to the new map in the 8th ed book, so I didn't notice all the new old cities until @Fleetfiend. Now that I am aware of them, I may start to include them. I created a made up ruined city of Yalthera in a Skinks Quest, I might retroactively edit to change Yalthera to one of the undeveloped ruined cities, but not Xlanzec of course.

Basically yes. If GW does not develop something on one of their maps, the first forumite to write detailed fluff for it can claim to have the "official" version, official at least as far as Lustria-Online is concerned. Of course, just like writers can and should ignore GW published fluff when they don't like it, forumites can ignore forum made stuff if they don't like it. Still it's easier to build on what someone else has done. I'm going to try to incorporate fan-made stuff from other writers into my fluff if possible, at least in passing.

There was also an attempt to write fluff for Spetazuma, the City of Lenses but that never made it off the launch pad and StealthKnightsteg has not logged on to the forums since before the upgrade.

Aspiring army fluff developers can write what they want, but my suggestion is to come up with reasons for ruined cities besides "Daemons wrecked it"since the overwhelming majority of the GW developed ruined Temple Cities have that origin story.

can chupayotl (the sunken city) be my city, my army's based on it :3 also do you have any info on the lost city of the old ones??

You can have whatever city you want, bro. But what I think what Scalenex is saying is that the first author to develop some detailed fluff about the city's back story is going to get their fluff tagged in the Lustriapedia entry.

I just added a bunch of stuff.

@Bowser. @discomute, and @spawning of Bob all had at least one new link added. A few weeks ago, I updated @Kcibrihp-Esurc's link because he asked me and he made it easy by creating a index page for me to periodically copy and paste into the Lustriapedia.

@Fhanados , @Rikard, amd @Tlac'Natai the Observer author had minor revisions in their profile to reflect recent changes in their existing links.

@Xholankha the lost one now has an author page. I also put a link to his temple city in the Lustriapedia entry for Chupayotl.

I added Mutal and Poneextlan to the list of unofficial cities. I flagged a bunch of people with fluff cities. I put @little-myth's fluff into the glossary (because I'm not sure if she has a city). The brainstorming of Spektazuma has a little link. The active or recently active forumites all have their names flagged if they have a link in the glossary or unofficial temple city section.

If anyone thinks I missed adding something, or would like me to edit something I've written in the index, please let me know via a private message. Unless my omission is embarrassingly funny, then use a public message replying to this.

I mean to update my own author entry soon..ish (Scolenex has been prodding poking me with a sharpened bamboo stick.) Work continues to be slow despite me being well over half-way done. It's kind of like running a marathon. The first half is 20 miles. The second half is 6.2 miles. As I give a new chapter to Bob and Slanputin to look at it, expecting minor suggestions, they slash it to pieces with their vaunted critical prowess.
