As you know, due to other commitments, I decided recently that I could no longer continue to run lustria-online; time and money were becoming increasingly rare commodities.

When I posted a thread about it the response seemed to be that a lot of people wanted the site to stay online. I had a number of people offer various solutions to me and it took me a little while to consider the options and choose the best one.

I spent most of last night working with The Red Devil to move the site and its database over to the servers for his web hosting company. He will be taking over management of the site.

I will stay on as admin and will be around to help out as needed but for now I'd like to thank you all for supporting lustria-online over the last 5 years by making the funny, informative, friendly posts which have made our community grow, and will continue to do so.

Now, that would be an invention for the ages! Imagine being able to transfer beer through the internet...
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe "post" is a word that doesn't translate well between UK English and US English. Think Post Office, rather than a forum post. Right? Maybe...

Hooray for the new Old One! Thanks for taking this by the horns, Red Devil. And thanks for everything you've done for us, Sammy. I think everyone is very happy that L-O is sticking around for the time being :smug:

This is great news! I'm so happy that I'm going to be able to return here in the future for all things lizardmen! Kudos to the red devil, and thank you sammy for all your work over the years!

Huh, I didn't realise 'post' was a characteristic of UK English when it refers to 'mail'. But yes, either way, through mail/post or forums posts, TheRedDevil's pint is going to haver to be imaginery for now....
unless a way is developed that allows you to 3D print beer :P
 
I wanted to say thanks to Sammy for running the site for us up to now and thanks to the Red Devil for taking over and providing us Lizard fans an ongoing home.
 
Hi to everybody! I'm a follower of Lustria-Online since two month ago. I never register myself and never write because of my poor English but I choose to do it now just to congratulate with Sammy for the beautiful job he done with this forum and to thanks all the community for her precious advice and tips.

I am really happy you have found a solution to evade the forum closure.
