Lost kingdom minis launches Kickstarter

So they had a goal of $17,555 to meet by 1 August, and they are already at $19,237 since it opened today on the 1st of July?

Am I reading this right? :wideyed:

On the flipside, kickstarters tend to open big, then trail off pretty quickly too.

The models look great, but the prices are high. I'd love to know the quality of the minis in their first kickstarter. Also the year-long waiting period is a bit of a downer. Will hold off for now, not least because the models I'm most interested in are the Salamanders, and they're a stretch goal.

If nobody pledges, the salamanders wont see the light, I asked directly to them and they said if the kickstarter doesnt get the objective, the mini wont come out to store with either.
The excuse they gave me was because the size of the printer/equipment they needed was way bigger, so no money, no equipment, since they are a young company with little resources (they also depend on other companies to cast miniatures, as Valkiria miniatures and another one, they mentioned in a video interview)

I am really interested in this one, their minis look very well detailed, if they come out anywhere near the quality their promos show them as then I will be a very happy chappy. I don't really have the money to buy anything real big or substantial but I am looking at getting the chameleon skink and kroxigor package. The Coatl whisperer looks really nice too

If you get the pack, you get the skink hero "the god kid" for free, and including the skink priest you want would be.... 87 i believe (in €)

Yeah, so a little extra value to offset the shipping costs too. Damn the AUD doesn't do well overseas

That Kuaxotl hero (chameleon skink hero with the bow) is definately my favorite. Even if I don't wind up doing the kickstarter this month I may try to get a copy if they put them into production. Great to see those temple guard are unlocked too!

Guys I'm just saying that they are a small company. They need support to grow, even small support can allow to unlock some amazing models !

I mean it's not like there are some insane looking lizardmen models getting created and produced that often...

These models make GW really look outdated IMO...

I know 1year is a long shot, but they are realistic and I like that. I backed a lot of KS (not only miniatures) and they tend to be unrealistic regarding deadlines. I had to wait more than 6month delay for historical spanish tercios models...

This is their second KS, first one was a success; and their minis are really good qualitiy.

So if you are interested in their models, they need your support now. There is no risk in backing a KS that is already funded (un 5 hours by the way...)

There is a risk. Those are 3D renders.the casts could come out at substandard quality. I would rather buy after release

On facebook they published some chaos dwarves from the same cast company they will be using.... i couldn't say they are bad at all. On the contrary, they look awesome quality
Also they published 2 of the actual miniatures (the ones painted in the kickstarter are actual casts, painted by Studio Giraldez link here: https://www.facebook.com/StudioGira...491416411771/1872876322773266/?type=3&theater

Ok those look good.

Either way it is still a year-long wait for what is essentially a pre-order

Couldn't say any better.

Also, I think people should really start supporting new miniature companies, especially when they make crazy models like these.

I trust them 100% with quality after reading some reviews of their infernal dwarves and seeing the two painted miniatures they posted.

1 year is indeed a long wait but I've waited about the same time to get woogitys kroxigors and It was worth it !!

Cheers.

Their minis are good quality (I mean chaos dwarfs and orcs). For me the most impressive is the concept of the minis... I’m gonna support the KS and hope not to be the only one... just to get the carnosaur in a near future!
This kind of new companys need funding in their first steps...

The chaos dwarfs made by these guys are pretty stellar.

I do prefer GW's regular line troopers a bit more (I love the GW saurus troopers) but I also like the really amped up Mesoamerican-looking masks some of these guys where, especially those temple guard.

Hi everyone! I'm Adrián, from Lost Kingdom Miniatures :) Finally I have been able to sign in here! :) Thanks a lot to support our campaign!!! If you have any doubts please feel free to ask. I don't want to be annoying with a lot of updates if you don't want to, so I will only post in the future some important things as pictures of the 3D printed models, painted models, and maybe some BIG unlocked stretch goal, what do you think? I know it's a long journey in front of us to unlock everything so I would love if you have some advice or suggestioun about how can we spread and share this campaign all over the world, just to realese this incredible models.

Again, thanks!
