Eternity_Warden vs. Sao
Rah Rah looked across at his competitor, an undead creature just like him. The large blade it carried looked slow, and Rah Rah prepared to use that to his advantage. He rushed forward, intent on testing his opponent's reflexes. Sorekh-Ra just stared forward, moving only when the Vampire was seconds away from making contacts. He easily warded off the first strikes of the Vampire and counterattacked, gashing the Vampire across the stomach with a blow that would kill any living man. The Vampire survived however, and Rah Rah moved in to attack again, wounding the Tomb King twice with no return. Just as the Vampire was feeling assured of his victory he let his guard drop too much, and the blade came in again, cleaving his head off and ending the fight. (A pair of double ones on the Tomb King's part was the only thing that prevented the fight from being finished earlier.)

Azog stared across at the noble Empire Grandmaster, and took a swig of his Backbone Brew, immediately regretting it when he began to feel woozy. However, his magical sword was not feeling the effects of the brew and it left forward with a mind of its own, gashing the knight across the side. Surprised, Sir Quinn struck back, but the tough hide and sturdy armour of the orc warded off all the blows. They entered a dance of death, neither of them being able to best the other, with Sir Quinn wounding the orc twice in succession and Azog returning another wound, unable to finish the sturdy knight off. They withdrew from the combat, both wounded and tired. The helm of the knight lit up with a bright light as they separated, and with his opponent blinded, Sir Quinn delivered the killing blow. (The orc took two wounds to failed toughness tests, and without those would have been eventually killed by the Warboss. The Grandmaster strength struggled to get past the toughness of the Warboss, with only one wound getting through that and the armour naturally, and only then with the help of the Helm of Discord.)

Yzan vs. Sir Zantos
The daemonic herald peered out at the Saurus, knowing that its speed could not be bested by this cold-blooded lizard. Lust moved quickly, before Huitzilopochtil could waken fully from his groggy state. However, all his attacks bounced off the Huitzilopochtil's tough skin, with only his steed managing to sneak a wound in. As he passed by, Huitzilopochtil struck out, faster than the Herald was expecting and drove his blade deep into the Herald's flesh, its magical energies killing the Herald instantly. (Bane Head came into play here and with the Herald not warding either of his wounds, he was quickly finished off by the Oldblood.)

Dreadgrass vs. ryan88
Both of the competitors bodies were shimmering with protective energies and neither were in a hurry to test the others defenses. It was Alariel who moved first, bringing his blades in a deadly arc and wounding the Beastlord. The Beastlord struck back, but even with his rage did not manage to get past the magical armour Alariel had donned. Mr. T and Alariel entered a duel, with their protective energies keeping many of the blows at bay. Alariel wounded the Beastlord again, but this time Mr. T was ready and returned the favour. However, it was a little to little to late, and Alariel's blades flashed one last time ending Mr. T's life. (If the Highborn had not managed to pass 12/13 wards the Beastlord would have won, but those are fickle dice gods coming into play. This fight lasted just as long as the previous fight with the Highborn because both characters had such defensive setups.)

So those are the results. Congrats for all who won! The next round will be going up by the same time next Friday, so you have a week to get your bets in, if you still have the money.
