Blog Lord Marcus' 2026 Blog

Models from before are based, once the material is dry I will add finishing touches like the rest. I also painted a ripper swarm today, which brings me to 50 models in one week.

Because tomorrow is Wednesday and fencing practice is starting back up, I'm not going to paint much tomorrow. Unless I have to stay home for some reason. But I'm not trying to put that out in two. The universe. Just hedging that's.

Otherwise, I will resume painting on Thursday.

I've had a stuffy nose all Wednesday, so I didn't go to fencing or see my fiance. :(

Basing is done and I've got a couple more groups of the infantry in various stages.

Thanks. I'm quite happy with how they came out.

I've decided that the roman army will eventually be led by custom character figures of myself and Melissa, dressed as fictional Emperor Marcus and Empress Helena (our "character" names from the fencing group.)

No painting tonight as it was fencing night. I'll be back at it tomorrow, hopefully finishing those 16 swordsmen.
 
I also finished this guy tonight. I'm calling him the first of the "Risen of Hattin", A small painting project based for barons War, second edition. And also my attempt to get Andie hobday to consider a supernatural expansion. :p

Also, this makes 100 miniatures or equivalents so far this year.

I'm taking the weekend off to hang out with my Fiance.

On Monday, after work, I will be back at it.

More clibinarii

52 more limitanei with swords

A number of limitanei with spears. Said number shall be determined once I am done with the palatina and can evaluate how many extra Shields I have. When Wargames Atlantic releases the late Roman shield frames separately, this will not be an issue.

Ultramarines terminators

An undead knight of Jerusalem

More tyranids If I get into the mood. I'm trying to use them as monotony breaks.
