7th Ed. lizardmen vs chaos

im fighting my friend tommorow and his armies are warriors of chaos any body have any tips to tell me how i can win an easy battle

Your best bet might be to give people a rundown, give an idea of points values and what you/ they may be taking....

Generically anti-armour gear, whether magic or troops should be a priority, also, be prepared to face elite troops and tooled up characters. WoC can SOMETIMES (but by no means always) fall down in manouverability and numbers, though this is by no means a certainty...

I don't have much experience against the latest WoC but if you can give people a better idea of what you need to know precisely, they might be of more help than me.

It is awesome vs WoC and there high armour saves, knight go boom, wounding on Two's

And for the rest of your army, saurus are cheaper then their warriors, so use the extra points to by small skink cohorts to flank them once combat starts

What? I'm not sure I agree with this because depending on the situation, the skinks will end up giving up more CR than they bring.

If you decide to go strong magic LoM is definitely your friend for the Slann. Most likely you'll be facing a significant amount of magic as well. Bring adequate magic defense and don't expect the average LM mage hunters to get kills unless you plan carefully (a basic chaos sorcerer can really fight).

Also Terradons would be valuable for their march blocking / harassing abilities, considering that most of the army is MV4.

Those are a few tips for you. Warriors of chaos have a few strategies that can be used to take them down depending on what the list consists of. Good luck.

Had two games against WoC earlier today, first 1500 then 2000. Lore of metal is truly worth its cost in gold!(haha) The burning blade on a scarvet with a maiming shield kicks major ass and watch out for the asf/character or monster makes attacks against friendlies combo. Come prepared for lots of magic, my 1500 was just the EoTG priest and that wasnt really enough, altough the same guy with a diadem and the mystery/rumination/becalming slann worked out in 2k.

Edit: Oh, i massacred both games btw. The stegadon kicked some major ass.

I must admit that LoM is absolutely the best lore against Warriors of Chaos. I played in a tourney a few weeks ago and played 3 WoC armies and went 2-0-1 and ended up coming in second place. Their characters can really kick ass but if you are able to win the maneuvering battle you should be ok. Make sure and save your Spirit of the Forge as your last spell and try to get him to burn through is dispel dice with some of the others before you get it off, it is an absolute terror against Knights. I also agree on posting what you plan on bringing, that'd help out a lot. Good luck in your gaming!
