8th Ed. Lizardman 8th edition FAQ updated

So if you pick the beast lore for your slann and you roll transformation of kadon, do you just get to reroll? Or are you stuck with a spell you literally cannot use?

My guess would be a re-roll. But that would have to be up to your gaming group. But if they made me keep a spell I couldn't even cast that would be messed up. This needs to be faq'd , as of now you are probably just better of avoiding lore of beasts unless your gaming group is cool with a re-roll.

Once again. This needs to be faq'd.

Before the faq update slann was infantry and everyone was content. Now the slann cannot cast a spell that requires him to be on foot, but for no particular reason.

And because of the lack of explanation, more questions just keep popping up...

Ok.

/End of whining.

They seem to have updated the Steam tanks to ignore the reference to the magic phase, does that mean that any spell works on them? I don't have the Empire book, but I kinda remember they have that special rule that ignore spells with no specific strenght...

Phil

And since the Steam Tank auto-fails any initiative test the Pit of Shades or equivalent auto-kills it now.

well there's always the wizard's hat for the oldblood if you guys really want to use a dragon. that's if you can roll for the spell!!

I think I would always run him on a cold one since he is going to be stupid anyway and need the armor.

You forget you have to roll the lore of beasts first ;)

I think the whole turning into a dragon thing is overestimated. Let him turn himself into a dragon on a 20+ He will waste 5 or 6 dice and he takes the risk of miscasting on all those dice. Then, on your next magic phase, just throw 4 dice at dispelling it (need 16).

The nice thing about an Old Blood getting the spell dispelled on him is that he will still be a beast in combat without it:)
