Well this month I think I am going to try making a few obstacles and city walls. I already started work on them by putting down plaster and a base coat but I still have work to do on the top of the walls as well as adding more texture.

I know I’m late to posting, but I’m off to a good start on some projects this month! Got an Incantor/saurus conversion done. I would like to finish basing my stegadon, paint Astrolith Barer, base my Eternity Warden, and work on sculpting some scales on my custom Saurus Knights when I have time

When they are ready, start a painting blog, I would be interested to see them, especially the custom saurus knights as our current model sucks. Good luck on then and hope it goes well :)

I just started one today! I only have the Incantor conversion uploaded though. I’ll post more when I get home from work

I SHOULD HAVE DonE 2 batches of 20

I need motivation to get these done!

Then I can work on fun things like my lost kingdoms kroxigor, chameleon skinks, salamanders...

Happy to report that the green stuff for my Saurus Knight conversions are done! Once it all drys, I’ll start adding greeblies to them. If you are interested in the conversion, check out my paint blog here: http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/childishknight’s-machinations.23418/

I have also finished the base for my Engine of the Gods and gotten the base coat of my Eternity Warden finished. The last thing on my list this month is to base my Eternity Warden. Amazing what a ton of stress at work can do for your hobby lol

@Karnus if your still open for ideas on color schemes I can send you some stuff that looks good but is very efficient to paint.

Either way good luck, and we all look forward to seeing the finished results

Thanks dude. Unfortunately I kinda need to follow the same rough plan as my Saurus warriors otherwise they won’t match up :

I normally do:

Skin/Scales:
Base of mcragge blue
Drakkenhoth nightshade wash
Alaitoc blue drybrush/highlight
Lothren blue drybrush/highlight

Bone/claws/teeth:
Ushabti bone base
nuln oil wash
Skull white highlight

Gold:
Gehennas gold
Agrax earthshade wash
Re-highlight gehennas
Silver highlight if I can be arsed

Shields:
Mephiston red base
Nuln oil wash
Mephiston red highlight
Evil sunz scarlet highlight

It takes ages and doesn’t look particularly amazing lol

I'm still on the building phase for my august challenge, painting 180 saurus. I will be happy to hear your advice on supra-efficient color schema...
So do a spray of mccrage blue, and then paint in missing spots.
Then do a light dry brush of skink blue on the scales.
On the underbelly use Sotek green
Follow this up with an all over wash of coelia green shade
Finally for the underbelly highlight with temple guard blue.

The teeth and claws are done in the following;
Zandri dust
Seraphim Sepia
Then finally layer with some ushabti bone

Eyes are up to you:
I do white scar then layer over with flashgitz yellow

For the wood:
Steel legion drab, followed by ushabti bone layer
Then all over wash in Agrax earthsade

Shield:
I prefer red but there are other options
Start with Mephiston red
All over wash with reikland flesh shade
Finally layer with some evil scarlet sun

Gold:
Retributior armor
Agrax earthshade
Liberator gold

Black:
Abbadon Black
Layer with kalabite green
