Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - January 2020

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Note: Previous months can be found in the vault http://www.lustria-online.com/forums/the-vault.40/

By the end of the month.

-10 Chameleon Skinks truly finished (Hopefully this week)
- 1 Stegadon completely finished (includes basing, howdah, and a few spare Skinks)
- Lord Kroak started and in good shape to be done by the end of the month, or early February.

Continuing batch painting my saurus cav and here are January todos:
* mass highlight and finishing touches on the upper body
* fix bellies after wash (kinda insignificant and annoying part of the job, but must be done to hide some of the weird lines)
* paint teeth and tongues
* create bases and paint the grass part of the model

I hope to get at least 3 of the 4 things done as some of the stuff tend to take forever to do lol

I've been trying to finish my blackstone fortress set and then start work on the expansions. Havn't painted a lizard in a while though I have a sudden urge to work on my carnosaur again this morning so we'll see.

Currently I need to:
Finish group 1 of TR-8R guard
Maybe start on a rogue psyker to match them
Finish painting my space pope
Finish bases on my previous BSF models
Post a painting update here, no lizards though.
Decide on a colour scheme for my carnosaur so I can work on it?
Finish the railings for my sector mechanicus kits?

Work has been a mess and I havn't been paiting lizards so I've been away but maybe I'll start updating again...

That sounds like quitter talk! Scrape a little time together a paint coat here a bit of knife work there?
Yeah I'll be honest:
In my little free time I am mainly busy with D&D.
There is some synergy with Warhammer as we are planning to try out playing with miniatures soon, so the painting stuff is still on the table. I might finish the Arch Revenant in January.

I doubt I will get anything actually painted this month, but I do pledge to get at least some of my models out of their moving boxes this month (they've only been in there for five years....).

Same goal as it has been for the past few months. Finally finish my 40 Saurus unit.

Shields are very close to done and then they need basing. I'll probably fail to get the basing completely finished this month but one can dream eh?
