Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - August 2018

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

So I'm going to finish the endless spells and try to get the Saurus Cav done.
 
I intend to have - at the least - ten Skink Skirmishers done by the end of the month. And if I get the chance, paint up the Skink Starpriest that is inbound by mail!
 
I am going to try and finish
- Kitbash Skellies
- Kroak
- some bases, including those of the Endless Spells
- Bonus: Scar Veteran on Carnosaur
 
Don’t know where to start...
Got to finish off loads for lizards.... Priority is verminlord warpseer (just done skin which is the hardest part for me) I’ve just got a load of destruction stuff, so wouldn’t mind getting that at least base coated by end of the month (80 grots...ugh) Going to my gw for a game with the guys in shop next week or so and don’t want them kicking sand in my face for having bare models.
 
Finished Kroak on day 1/2 so happy with that,

Next up I need to paint my newly converted knights to go with the scar-vet.

Paint my converted star priest

Model the base and Paint my dread Saurian

Model and adapt eog then paint

Model and adapt Bastiladon and paint

Model and adapt carnosaur/scar vet and paint

Finish painting 1st carno

Finish green stuffing my 3 scratch build kroxigors

(+ distract myself with any green stuff projects I find on the way)

And then next month I can start the core units ;D
 
I just bought a lot of stuff in the kickstarter. I got about a year before I have a bunch of new unfinished models. Plan to reduce my giant pile of unfinished sprues in half.
 
Wups, almost forgot to share this month objectives

  • Paint my last 3 zombies (in pink color, a poll have decided for me -_- )
  • Paint my 2 last seraphims
  • Build my 10 lasts squelettons and do thing with unused parts - already finished yesterday
  • Improve 3 trees scenery
  • Translate a new chapter of my stories on vampirecounts.net
 
I will start and (hope) finish 12 aspirant knights for my brand new army of kingdoms of equitania.
I also hope to finish assembling a stegadon for my lizardmen :)
 
Half of the month is over and I finished all main goals and started on the bonus goal.
Also worked on quite some other stuff rhat wasn't planned actually.

Motivation is high right now. :)
 
So I'm basically at my goal for August even though it doesn't feel like it. I'm going to try to right the ship and make a big push in these last couple days/ September
 
Still haven't painted my Carnosaur (the rider and base though) but I have done quite a lot of other stuff so I consider my goals to be reached, and even surpassed.
 
I've reset my goals for this month (sort of), putting the brake on the Skink Skirmishers and going strong with the Saurus Warriors and the Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur instead. I've managed to assemble twenty Saurus Warriors and the Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur, so I am hoping to prime them at the start of next week. At the momement I'm still doing a bit of kitbashing/converting though.
