Unfortunately, it is common practice now to take a previously successful franchise and "do a modern spin on it" rather than just COMING UP WITH YOUR OWN STORY BECAUSE YOU CAN WRITE/CREATE.

Hollywood take note. We'd like original stories please. Not massively altered versions of what we liked as kids/teenagers (or now ;) )
