Come back and except your inevitable gnoming!

It’s amazing how popular my Prince George Blackadder meme has become among Lustria Online Forumites. At least two other members beside myself have been known to use it in posts, I wonder how many others I can convince to use it too...
Isn't that one more common? Fairly certain I've seen it float around on the internet

Even though it was 15-rated?

Yup.

My parents never really made a point about the age limits unless it was a horror or something very obviously adult which a kid shouldn't be watching.

But, honestly, I don't think that Blackadder should have a 15+ rating.... I guess there's violence, violent references and sexual references but I don't recall anything that was particularly bad in it.

The sex references are certainly strong with Blackadder, particularly 'Beer' in Blackadder II and any episode with Flasheart in it (the great Rik Mayall certainly played his part well :hilarious:). Not that I mind that (swearing and anything sex-oriented is fine with me, the former because at school I got used to hearing it all the time and the latter because it's exhilarating for any 22-year-old male if it involves girls :D), but I am certainly glad I was introduced to it at just under 15, when I was able to comprehend what was going on and also think maturely about it all, because it does err on the adult side. The age limits are there for a reason other than purchasing, they don't rate things for fun you know ;)

Given that one of my other favourite comedies, One Foot In the Grave, is a 12 rating and contains a mixture of strong language and sex references, very brief scenes of nudity in a couple of episodes and the occasional act of violence, and Blackadder is just a step up from that in those departments, I'd say 15 is a suitable rating for Blackadder.
