when did a sandwich get screentime? Or development? At least if you're gonna make fun have it make sense.
The sandwich did get screen time in the film. Before you criticize something for not making sense... do a bit of research! :)

Forgive me for thinking "did a peanutbutter-jelly sandwich appear in this one specific comic book movie" seemed like rather a silly subject to go and research :p

By research I mean simply watch the movies and have a working memory of them. Before you criticize make sure that it isn't you who is the one that is mistaken.

What film are you talking about? Because I don’t remember a sandwich featuring at all in Captain Marvel, and if it’s in Endgame, there were loads of important characters that barely had any screentime or character development at all. You can’t act like that somehow proves anything specific regarding Captain Marvel herself, so unless you want to make the same point about Drax, Nick Fury etc...

Probably because they can act better than Brie Larson :p
Although cats are amazing animals I don't think they're very good at acting. They're far too up themselves to deign to pretend to be something other than their divine self :p

nah, I don't mind being wrong about american comic book movies.

Bingo!

Plus it helps that a fair number of die-hard Brie Larson fans will probably end up as crazy cat ladies in the future (if not already).

It is in End Game, the sandwich features in the scene with Captain America and Black Widow. And CM had limited screen time because the directors did not want her to have a lot of it. Which was a good move as she is a horrible character played by a horrible actress.

Also.. don't forget that it is just a meme.

Nothing wrong with being incorrect, but be careful of attributing error to others when your knowledge of the subject matter is limited. :D

I did not attribute error, I simply questioned how good a joke it was :p

Meh, according to wikipedia she has some bafta's and stuffs. Can't be that terrible. Beyond that I neither care nor know about any of her roles so meh. Mostly just seems the usual vitriol of the internet, pushed a little bit beyond the usual by her making some stupid comments (admittadly that has nothing to do her acting capabilities.)

Really? Well let's take a look...

when did a sandwich get screentime? Or development? At least if you're gonna make fun have it make sense.

Of note: "At least if you're gonna make fun have it make sense"

So if it doesn't contain an error why would it not make sense? As it turns out, it does make sense. The meme was correct and the error was contained purely in your statement.

It's one thing to be wrong, it is an other to be defiant and claim you weren't. It always backfires, especially in written exchanges where your statements can be dissected and presented as evidence.

Well if weré going that route I'm still right. That meme claims brie didn't get screentime. She did, albeit it not much.

As for character development, unless the sandwich was inexplicably sentient or otherwise antromorphied, and this doesn't exactly appear to be the kind of movied for that, I don't think the claims the meme makes in that regard are funded on anything either.

So the two green check marks on the sandwhich side are both wrong. At least one of the crosses on brie's side is wrong.

The remaining two I can't exactly judge, though the Karen thing is a bit questionable, I doubt there was a scene in which she called for the manager or some such.

So meh, as far as memes go, this is not a good one.

Now you're just making yourself look silly. You could have bowed out gracefully.

Well if weré going that route I'm still right.
You are far from being right. Before your error could be attributed to a simple mistake on your part (not knowing that there was a sandwich scene in Endgame), but now you have proven that you lack the necessary tools to even understand the meme.

I award you no points.

this joke crashed and burned when it attempted to lift off. It never gained that kinda altitude :D

Now you're just making yourself look silly.
I do not make myself look silly, that's just how my face looks.

Given that you did not dispute my previously raised points I continue to claim the previously raised 4 points and award myself a bonus point for your lack of counterpoints as well as another for you not awarding points based on simply saying no.

It flew... right over your head. Your inability to understand it does not mean that it crashed. It was simply aimed at a more sophisticated crowd.

Given that you did not dispute my previously raised points I continue to claim the previously raised 4 points and award myself a bonus point for your lack of counterpoints as well as another for you not awarding points based on simply saying no.
Your counterpoints are a product of you missing the joke. They don't make your point, they make mine.

Are you really debating on a meme
Hardly a debate... more of a slaughter... self imposed at that.

Anyone who wishes to attempt to defend his position is welcome to look back across the exchange and make a go of it. It won't be pretty though.
