He was a spirit, and his essence was deeply connected with the land and the Lady of the Lake herself.
He was used to materialize to questing Knights (the final test for them to become Knights of the Grail) and whenever there was need. It was a fugure present during various centuries of Bretonnia's history.

It was said that he was the spirit of Gilles le Breton, coming back to life by the will of the Lady.


In Oldhammer, from a gaming pov he was basically immortal: if you slain him, he can turn back to fight again, just by rolling a dice (4+, IIRC).

Somehow I feel a little forced into looking for the possibility to get some tomb kings models... ;)
