I do believe it's the XV, with countless expansions.

I follow it in a very broad sense.... a pick common and uncommon cards from the "great discard boxes" of the Real Players, and with them i build decent / half good decks-for-fun for me and my daughters

Grumpy: perhaps, that could have some merit to it.
Brain the size of a dried pea: quite the opposite. Most people despise Jar Jar because he embodies that very trait (and is annoying to boot)
Lack of a sense of humour: Jar Jar is aimed at very little children to be fair. For adults, that kind of humour is typically viewed as the lowest common denominator

I agree with you there. Jar Jar is OK, but he really isn't that bright and certainly he shouldn't have been in the senate.
Certainly Captain Tarpals should have been the lead Gungan

Family guy is crude, but there is far more intelligence behind the humour than there is with Jar Jar. You're perhaps the only adult I've spoken to that finds Jar Jar even remotely funny.


The only plus side with Jar Jar is that the poor fan reaction he received ensured that he had a much more limited role in the following episodes.
 
The March Onwards
Jar Jar is one of my least liked characters in a prequel trilogy filled with characters I don't like.
When I was a kid I liked him, which was the point, but now...

The problem is that it's largely possible to do a product aimed to children, but that is also likeable for adults (like, almost every Disney cartoon?).
With JJ the second part simply doesn't exist.

That said, we all know Jar Jar is a genius.

Quite a few of the new Disney cartoons were terrible in my eyes and they only redeemed themselves with Zootropolis. Certainly any adult who is obsessed with Frozen has no dignity at all.

I'm not a huge Family Guy fan, but I can at least appreciate that there is some level of social commentary behind the humour. Jar Jar is the exact opposite, he has no substance at all.


Jar Jar is simply a horrible character. He is the most hated Star Wars character overall. Even the film makers recognized this and cut his subsequent roles to a bare minimum.
 
Personally i dislike Jar Jar, but i think some people hate him a little too much. I get it, he´s an annoying character with no real supstance too the story besides messing up, but i just roll my eyes and try forget characters like that. Jar Jar is one of those idiots you don´t neccesarily hate, but you don´t mind seeing getting hit by truck is what i´m trying too say.
 
I'm at dusseldorf airport right now... smoking area near the check in... next to me a flight crew... And this young guy in a lufthansa uniform says:" I'm a bit nervous. It's my first time... I hope I don't make any serious mistakes..." Now I'm a bit nervous, too... hoping he's not the pilot...
