That is one of the shows I grew up with, and he was my favourite character. It was quite popular over here in North America, but perhaps it does not translate well elsewhere.
Meh, american stuff tends to not care too much for internal logic & continuity, focusses more on the theme's it wants to threat and as a consequence the story can make little sense. The endless host of reboots doesn't help with that either. It tick me off. The actual stories themself vary a lot in quality, but as is usual with these kinda things only the easily marketable stuff gets pushed towards foreign markets so generally you just get generic mediocre stuff. So that does rather diminish my interest in it :p

If you want something great to watch:

I like the Arnie films. Conan is a classic.

I'm also one of the few I know who enjoyed Jason momoas take.
The Jason Momoa Conan movie has some pretty cool stuff in it! It is also in quite some regards more faithful to the original Conan stories. Especially concerning looks since Arnie looks nothing like Howard's descriptions.

They are from the show Transformers. Interestingly, a few of the mounts from our very own Lizardmen book were named after them (with altered spellings). They even correspond to the same dinosaurs (Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Pterodactyl )

Kroq-Gar's mount Grmyloq = Dinobot Grimlock
Mazdamundi's mount Zlaaq = Dinobot Slag
Tiktaq'to's mount Zwup = Dinobot Swoop
